1 Prerequisites All users must have an IEC username and password to access the IEC's online Expert Management System (EMS) at http://www.iec.ch/dyn/expert If you do not have a username and a password, you are invited to send a request to your National Committee. See forgot password section to recover your password.

2 User’s creation National Committees are responsible to appoint experts in the Expert Management System. Once an Expert’s profile is created, the next morning a welcome notification is sent to the user with the login details. It is highly recommended to modify the password on the Expert Management System (see My personal Details section). The username and email address must be UNIQUE (shared email addresses are NOT allowed). The Expert’s login is valid for all tools provided by the IEC (IEC Website, Meeting Registration System, Collaboration Tools, Voting System, Revisable CDVs, etc…) The Expert’s access rights for a login determined by the Roles and Permissions granted by the National Committee.

3 Details Under the “Details” Tab or “My personal details”, the Experts can change their password and their Personal Details. The NC Administrator is also habilitated to reset the password.



Once changed, the password is effective immediately for all the applications EXCEPT for Collaboration Tools which require 24 hours to synchronize. A notification is immediately sent to the user with the new details. Each user is responsible to keep personal data up to date and make the modifications. Only Ntational Committees administrators or the Central Office ([email protected]) are able to make the changes related to the First Name, Last Name, NC or Login. As is the case for password changes, these modifications are immediately taken into account for all the IEC applications EXCEPT for Collaboration Tools which requires 24 hours to synchronize.



3.1 Forgot password Collaboration Tools(http://collaboration.iec.ch)login page provides password recovery.

Click on Forgot your password? A pop-up a window will appear. Enter your email address.

The email address must be the same as the one used in the Expert Managemen System. Support can also be requested to [email protected]



4 Roles and Permissions 4.1 Roles National Committees may appoint Roles to their experts only if they are P Member in the TC or SC. Under the IEC Roles, the different Roles are displayed depending on the Roles granted by the National Committee. Once a Role is assigned, the Member will be able to access the relevant place in Collaboration Tools after the 24 hours of synchronization.

4.2 Permissions Under the “IEC Perms” tab, the TC listed indicates that the Expert may access the corresponding Working Documents available on the IEC Website. National Committees are responsible for granting these permissions to the Experts.

The “Non Document” column is used for IEC Application Permission (Revisable Files, Revisable CDVs, ACAS…)



5 My Account Experts can find shortcuts to all roles and permissions granted by the National Committee under “ My Account”.

Clicking on the group in the list will display the list of all the members also affiliated with the Working Group. An Excel extract of email address is available.

5.3 My preferences The member can select the Excel Version to use for extractions.

6 National committees Select a National Committee and to view a list of its experts. Email addresses are displayed, only if the person belongs to the same TC/SC as the expert.

7 Technical Committees Depending on your access rights, different types of Technical Committees will be displayed (such as IEC, CENELEC or NC (OVE, SAK, CORNELEC…)) . As with National Committees, only email addresses of people having roles in common are shown.

8 Persons The search box allows you to find someone by the username or by last name. The full contact details will be available only if the person belongs to the same TC/SC.
