EMPLOYERS Automatic Payments – Frequently Asked Questions

How can I enroll in Automatic Payments through the EACCESS® Policyholder Portal?

You can enroll in Automatic Payments by doing the following:

1. Navigate to employers.com/eaccess and log into the EMPLOYERS Policyholder Portal.

2. From the Dashboard, click the Get started link as shown below.

3. Click Edit next to the payment account you would like to use for automatic payments, or

click Add new payment account to add a new checking or savings account that may be

used for automatic payments.

4. At the bottom of the Payment Account page, check Yes to enable Automatic Payments.

When finished, click Save.

5. You will be presented with a consent statement to authorize automatic payments. If you

agree, click I Agree.

How do I change my bank account information for automatic payments?

You can edit your bank account that is used for automatic payments by doing the following:

1. Navigate to employers.com/eaccess and log into the EMPLOYERS Policyholder Portal.

2. Click the Settings tab at the top of the page.

3. Click Payment Profile, then click Edit next to the payment account you would like to use

for automatic payments, or click Add new payment account to add a new checking or

savings account that may be used for automatic payments.

Can I enroll in Automatic Payments over the phone?

No. Automatic payments can only be enabled through the EACCESS® Policyholder Portal.

Can I schedule my automatic payments to be charged on a specific date each month?

No. At this time, automatic payments will be made on the due date that appears on your invoice.

Are automatic payments deducted from my payment account instantly on my due date,

or is there a delay in processing?

Automatic payments can take up to three days to process.

Are there fees associated with automatic payments?

No. There are no fees associated with automatic payments.

Are automatic payment transactions secure?

Yes. EMPLOYERS uses a secured network to transmit payment information.

What happens if my automatic payment is declined?

If your automatic payment is declined, automatic payments will be disabled for your policy and

you will need to make alternative payment arrangements. You will also be notified via email and

physical mail.

If my automatic payment is declined due to lack of funds to cover the transaction, will

EMPLOYERS charge me a Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF) fee?

No. EMPLOYERS will not charge you a NSF fee. Please note that your bank may or may not

charge you a NSF fee.

When enrolled in Automatic Payments, will my Final Audit Invoice be automatically

withdrawn?

No. Final Audit Invoices are not eligible for automatic payments. You will need to make separate

arrangements to pay your Final Audit Invoice.

If my policy is cancelled, will automatic payments be disabled?

Once your policy is cancelled, no further installment invoices will be generated and your

payment account will no longer be automatically drafted. Please note that if your policy is

reinstated, your automatic payments will resume.

Do I need to re-enroll in Automatic Payments each time my workers’ compensation

insurance policy renews?

No. Your enrollment in Automatic Payments will carry over each year your policy is renewed.

Can my insurance agent sign me up for Automatic Payments?

No. Only EMPLOYERS Policyholders may enable Automatic Payments.

How to Register for the EMPLOYERS® EACCESS® Policyholder Portal

1. Navigate to employers.com/eaccess.

2. Choose Register as a Policyholder and enter your Policy Number, Federal Tax ID and Effective

date as prompted and then click Next.

Note that your Policy Number and Effective Date can be found on your invoice as shown below:

3. Enter your contact information as prompted on the screen and then click next.

4. Enter your email address, create a password and set your security questions as prompted on the

screen and then click next.

5. Lastly, you will need to accept our terms of service in order to complete your registration. Click I

agree to continue.

6. An email will be sent to the email address you provided. You must confirm your registration by

clicking the link within the email. If you do not confirm your account within 30 minutes of

receipt of the email, you will need to go through the registration process again.

7. After confirming your registration, you will be taken back to the EACCESS log in page. You may

now log in using your newly created username and password.
