Page 19: Employee Attitude Survey Final

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY:

Research methodology is a way to systematically solve the problem. It is also a science of

studying how research is done scientifically. In it we study the various steps adopted by the

researcher in studying the research problem along with logic behind them.

The scope of research methodology is wider than that of research method.

Research can be defined as the search for knowledge or as any systematic investigation to

establish various facts while using a scientific method .The primary purpose for applied research

is discovering, interpreting, and the development of methods and systems for the advancement of

human knowledge on a wide variety of scientific matters of our world and the universe.

Employees’ attitude towards the organization should be known by the entire organization to

reduce the grievance. The main objective is to find out the overall attitude of the employees and

to determine the areas where the employees show higher dissatisfaction.

Here, the general employee opinion survey method has been followed.

The questionnaires were directly handed over to the employees of the

organization for their responses.

OBJECTIVES OF THE RESEARCH :

To provide the organization with the employee feedback on the internal health of the organization.

To determine the area in which the employee find themselves discontent.

To evaluate the overall attitude of the employees.

Page 20: Employee Attitude Survey Final

To bring about a positive change in the organization.

To focus on the needs of employees.

SAMPLING METHOD:

The sample size taken is 75 which have been selected through Stratified Random Sampling.

The various departments are considered as groups or strata in such a manner that all items in any

particular group are similar with regard to the characteristic under consideration. From each such

‘strata’ items are chosen at random.

TOOLS FOR DATA COLLECTION:

Questionnaire is the main tool for data collection. Questionnaire has been distributed directly and the result is taken out.

DEVELOPMENT OF THE QUESTIONNAIRE:

First of all, the various areas concerned in the survey is determined through a discussion in the organization.

Then the secondary data has been collected from the organization regarding the areas considered.

Each area is mentioned along with few questions related to the topic. Five options are available before each question. Two open ended questions are also considered.

RESEARCH DESIGN:

Page 21: Employee Attitude Survey Final

A research design is the arrangement of conditions for the collection and analysis of data so as to

serve the purpose of the research.

This type of research is conducted to search for the problem which is not known. It deals with

the formulation of the problem for the further investigation on the topic. It leads to the discovery

of new ideas and views and hence it is an exploratory research.

LIMITATIONS:

Only 75 sample size is taken for the study in the Raipur area. So, if this study is

conducted using maximum employees then it may give accurate overall attitude of the

employees and the concerned area.

Since, the survey is conducted only in D B Corp Ltd. So it cannot be represented for any

other company.
