Thank you to everyone who aended Parent Teacher Conferences. The turnout was exceponal and the buzz in the school on the two evenings was excing. It is always great to touch base with your childs teacher and see whats happening. Also thank you for the wonderful assortment of food that kept staff nourished. Your generosity is appreciated. There is a PAC meeng this Wednesday evening at 6:30 pm in the library. Everyone is invited. This week is our X-Country District Meet. Thank you to staff and parents for supporng our children with this acvity. Also thank you for returning all of the beginning of the year forms. We realize it is me consuming and appreciate the informaon in case of emergencies. Our first year of recognizing Orange Shirt Day was successful. Students were engaged in discussions around Every Child Maers and Residenal Schools in Canada. A few items that need sharing... New Reporng—aached is a leer outlining our new reporng this year. All teachers are taking on the new method of reporng as well a few teachers will engage in an inquiry into Communicang Student Learning. We are excited to see the reporng change reflect the revised curriculum. Our first formal report card will be before the end of January. Most teachers will issue the report in January and a few might issue a report in December. Your childs teacher will let you know. Code of Conduct—aached is our Code of Conduct for this school year. Please review the contents with your child as me permits. Student Threat Risk Assessment Protocol—I have not sent this out before. VSB has a protocol when a treat is made. It is important you know about this protocol as outlined in the aached document. Our website is updated regularly. Please use the calendar to check on any events. Happy Fall, There are a few items I would like to let you know about and a newsletter seems the most efficient. Thank you to everyone who attended Parent Teacher Conferences.
