APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS• Masters applicants should hold an undergraduate degree from an accredited university with

a minimum cumulative average of 80% (B, or first class standing). PhD applicants should hold a master’s degree from an accredited university.

• All applicants are expected to submit: • Complete application • Brief statement describing areas of interest and academic and/or professional background. • Note to research-based program applicants contacting faculty about potential research opportunities and funding: please understand that many find it difficult to respond to the large volume of inquiries and prefer to assess completed applications. • Applicants whose first language is not English must submit language scores that meet or exceed: • International English language testing system (IELTS) = Band 7.0 • Paper-based TOEFL = 580 (TWE = 4.0) • Computer-based TOEFL = 237 (writing 4.0) • Internet-based TOEFL = 93 (writing = 25) • MELAB = 85 • CanTest = Band 4.75
