Oregon Public Utilities Commission• UM 1461 – Investigation into EV Charging Rates & Infrastructure
• June 22, 2010 – Workshop to determine issues:
• Should utilities plan an active role in development of EV infrastructure?
• Utility’s obligation if retail customer requested to buy wholesale powerto resell to EVs? PUC oversight?
• Should costs of needed local distribution upgrades be collected from owners of the stations or spread to customer base?
• Will utilities provide retail charging?
• Requirements for separate metering and/or Time of Use (TOU) rates for charging?

“I’d like to introduce you to …Justin Zeulner. We always said he was pretty ‘plugged’ into sustainability initiatives, but he took us literally by installing charging stations for electric cars and adding VIP parkingfor hybrid vehicles at the Rose Garden. By keeping his eye on the ball, we’ll significantly reduce our carbon footprint from vehicles traveling to and from events.”
