Providing scholarship is more than collecting funds; is integrating a team of volunteers and a place to create lasting relationships. The team is not only focus on the activities, but most important on its members. It is also important to mention that EFL is increasing the number of scholarships from five to seven and by the end of the year to ten students.

with this new image we intend to attract more people to make the image more appealing for a broader audience. Also standarize the way publicity and advertisement is going to be promoted not only on campus but also in Guatemala. It is important to mention that we intend to attract donator to our cause; so, it is important to define a single way of doing this. Next year sample letter are going to be include; also a full guide of important procedures intended to help next generations and ensure a continuation that Educating For Life has been performing for more than a decade. Educating for Life is going to feature a new image starting on January of 2012. Since 1999 when the project was created, the logo has suffered several changes, mostly in the convination of colors. However, next month all the EFL’s documentation is going to feature new characteristics. The most notorious change is going to be the use of white and blue as the main colors.

The logo has change font from Helvetica to Adobe Caslon Pro giving a softer sensation. Also the hand has shadows that enhance the colors. The new image of the project re-flects not only the new colors and designs, but is also a reflect of how the organization is reinventing itself. Fundraisers2 3Coffee sale Guatemala is world wide known for its coffee’s quality. EFL imports every year the most aromatic and taste-ful coffee to students and staff at Harding University. Krispy Kream Donuts As part of the activities, every semes-ter the students at Harding University may enjoy donuts after chapel. This is one of our top activities. EFL tries to beat its own sales record every time.

Educating For Life is an organiza-tion creating lasting changes in the lives of children in Tucuru, a small community located in Alta Vera-paz, Guatemala. Recognized for our communities, where we help children to get a better education.

EFL works in partnership with Manos de Amor in Guatemala city to provide scholarships to kids in Tucuru. The annual scholarships cost is Q.1,654.00 and it is about $215.00 per kid. This cost includes not only the tuition but also one meal a day. For this community, the help we provide is very helpful for them because of their economic condition. Otherwise probably they would have

to work on the plantations with their families. EFL believes that this kids have a potential to transform the current reality of Tucuru, and we also know that the change we are intending is going to take decades of hard work and dedication. However, this is the most effective way of producing a change.

Manos de Amor (Hands of Love) is a Guatemalan organization with head-quarters in the capital and with oper-ation in different areas of the country including Tucuru. The organization belongs to a Christian church call “El Shaddai”. The presindent of the organization is Andrea Caballeros; and they have been working on this project for many years. It is remarkable the hard work and dedication that thay have put on this project.

Educating For Life is working with them for many reasons including their Christian orientation, in which they not only provide education but also expand the Word of God. Also, since the beginning of EFL; the purpose has been to improve the lives of the peo-ple thought education. Working with Manos de Amor give us the opportunity of reaching this community that is easily forget by the government.

Tshirt sale EFL designs are always creative and fun. The purpose of the Tshirts is to create awareness among the students . They always have fun phrases and some illustration about life at Harding. Social gatherines We celebrate our culture every semester creating special activities in which the people from from another countries can join us and share the Latin Culture.
