PROMOTION REQUIREMENTS To enter 10th grade:

5 credits with at least one credit in either math or English

To enter 11th grade: 11 credits

To enter 12th grade: 17 credits

To graduate high school: 24 credits, required courses and assessments,

and 2.0 grade point average (GPA)

online learning)

Assessments

Pass 10th grade FCAT Reading Pass Algebra 1 EOC The following courses have EOC’s that will

also count as 30% of the final grade: Algebra1 Geometry Algebra 2 Biology US History

Industry Certification Credits Industry certification that grants college

credit may be used for up to 2 math credits and/or 1 science credit.

GPA and Credits 2.0 minimum unweighted GPA 24 credits

AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Physics, AP Environmental, Anatomy/Physiology Honors

Earn 1 credit in AP, IB or college DE course OR pass an approved industry certification exam

Earn 2 credits in the same foreign language Pass Biology EOC exam Pass US History EOC exam

DUAL ENROLLMENT – SEE YOUR COUNSELOR Lake Technical Center

Upon completion of graduation requirements for most programs

Usually during 12th grade TABE assessment at LTC

Lake Sumter State College 11th and 12th grade 2 courses or 8 semester hours 3.0 minimum unweighted GPA (maintained during dual

enrollment and with 2.0 minimum college GPA) College entrance score through PERT

Next PERT assessment: Wednesday, November 6th; must register by November 1st

ERHS Transcripts are sent from the district to the state 3

times per year – June, August, and February If your child does not fulfill the VPS and/or test

score requirements by February, please note that his/her transcript will not be evaluated until the late June transmittal.
