  • "Netiquette" stands for "Internet Etiquette", and refers to the set of practices created over the years to make the Internet experience pleasant for everyone.

    When Posting or writing a message, remember:

    Emotions:-Dont use Upper case letters is considered rude as if you are shouting..

    Be polite when disagreeing to others.

    Be Brief : Since long messages take a lot of time. Make

    messages short and to the point.

    Use White Space : Put a blank lines when required in the

    message, so that the message is readable.

    Use Descriptive Subject Lines : The meaning should be clear at a glance.

    Stay On-Topic : Talk only about the subject in the forum.

    Sending Attachments : Large attachments sent by email to people with slow internet

    connection is inconvenient.

    Reply to sender : When some one asks a question on the forum, send them a reply

    directly instead of posting a reply on the forum.

    Minimize forwarding : Forward emails only to people interested.

    Check Current Information Before Replying : Always check your recent email or the most recent posted messages before replying to someone else's message

    Reference Past Communications : include a portion of a message you are replying to or use Reply to your message dated(date).

    Acknowledge Important Communications: If someone sends you an important e-mail, it is polite to acknowledge the message immediately, so that they know that you received it.
