Dear Colleagues,

Last month I wished you all a happy new year andnow I would like to wish you a happy Valentine's.In my own scheme of things, all the hooplarevolving around Valentine's Day is unimportant. What is important is the constancy of love andcaring that we manifest in our relationships withfamily, friends and colleagues.

As Dean of our chapter I confess that I do notpersonally know you all. However I do care aboutyou in some ways because I do care about theAGO and our chapter. I am concerned about whatwe can all do to facilitate stronger relationshipsamong members. (I don't want us to be just namesin the directory.) I care about bringing programsthat would elevate and inspire us and at the sametime educate us. I care enough to volunteer aportion of my life and do AGO's work. I am sure allthe members of the board feel likewise.

I hope there are other members that hold similarfeelings about our chapter. Perhaps this is the yearfor you to come forward and serve our esteemedorganization is some capacity. We eagerlywelcome you. Say "yes" if someone fromnominations committee call you. Or be proactiveand call any current board member and volunteer.Show that you care.

Don't miss our February event. Bring your familyand friends. This concert is a gift to ourselves andthe community. It's free.
