How can we use the Netbooks to facilitate online collaboration?

Our Context…

Broadmeadows Valley is the newly formed school as a result of the merger on Meadow Fair North, Broadmeadows West, and Jacana Primary Schools

Bethal Primary School is a neighbouring school in our network.

We were all interested in developing strong connections between schools and students in our network but were not sure where to start and hadn’t done much to create an authentic link.

ELABORATE• Increased opportunity to collaborate

within the educational precinct to deliver an effective teaching and learning curriculum

• Our Journey: Started with individual class wikis to learn about the tool, then unit wikis were developed. Next step was the creation of a cross school writing wiki www.bbvmywriting.wikispaces.com. Finally specialist programs have got on board after seeing the success we have experienced.
