The results can be achieved by a student in the business of learning called learning achievement. High academic achievement is a dream for every student, teachers, parents and especially to achieve good learning achievement as desired, it is not easy. That's why parents need social support to achieve good learning achievements at primary school age children. Goals to be achieved in this study was to test the relationship between social support parents with learning achievement at primary school age children. Samples in this study students of primary schools with 11 years of age 10 amounted to 83 students. Methods of data collection was conducted by questionnaire that is the scale of social support parents. While for academic achievement was obtained from ten semester report card. Data analysis by non-parametric correlation. This means that the more positive social support of parents, the higher the academic achievement, so does more negative social support of parents will get low academic achievement. Besides, also known as social support parents in positive research subjects, possibly due to high awareness of parents on the importance of the subject of their involvement in their child's education.

Pada periode anak usia sekolah dasar merupakan masa yang berpengaruh terhadap pendidikan. Hasil yang dapat dicapai oleh seorang siswa dalam usaha belajarnya disebut prestasi belajar. Prestasi belajar yang tinggi merupakan dambaan bagi setiap siswa, guru, terlebih orang tua dan untuk mencapai prestasi belajar yang baik seperti yang diinginkan itu tidaklah mudah. Itulah sebabnya diperlukan dukungan sosial orang tua untuk mencapai prestasi belajar yang baik pada anak usia sekolah dasar. Tujuan yang hendak dicapai dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji ada tidaknya hubungan antara dukungan sosial orang tua dengan prestasi belajar pada anak usia sekolah dasar. Sampel pada penelitian ini siswa/i Sekolah dasar dengan usia 10 11 tahun yang berjumlah 83 siswa. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode kuesioner yaitu skala persepsi terhadap dukungan sosial orang tua. Sedangkan untuk prestasi belajar diperoleh dari rapor semester sepuluh.

Analisis data dilakukan dengan korelasi non parametrik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa koefisien korelasi yang diperoleh r = 0,188 dengan taraf signifikansi 0,044 (p
