‘The Extended Learning Department provided a very high quality of support to students with educational needs, English as an additional language and those identified as being gifted and requiring additional challenge.’

• A team of 5 part time Learning Support Assistants work across the Secondary School

• Facilities are modified where required computer work station areas, ramps etc.

• Facilitates and chairs weekly meetings with EAL team, LSA teams, ILSA team and Counsellor team. Sits on both Primary and Secondary Leadership teams

• Co-ordinates the provision and monitors the staff, overseas the timetables and ensures support is according to need

• Monitors pupils achievements and progress, (CEM, classroom assessments, observations, discussions with staff), provides additional interventions where required
