The first sale of 2019 saw a Winter sale of over 1,300 lots go under the hammer with the top call of £5,100 given for the first of 4 new Agricultural sheds in kit form on behalf of one Westcountry outlet.

As signs of Spring appeared, our March sale was massive with 12 tractors sold seeing the best reach £11,100 for the New Holland (12,000hrs) with the L reg Massey close up at £10,900 and going off to its new home on Exmoor.

Also in early Spring the Kivells team travelled to Winkleigh Airdrome for the dispersal of goods from D&S Supplies which attracted buyers on site and by phone from as far afield as Falmouth and Bristol. Top call of the day hit £4,400 for the best of 3 forklift trucks with a massive amount of furniture and goods peaking at £220.

Next up was the dispersal sale of farm machinery on behalf of Richard Symons which was conducted on his farm at Horwood near Bideford in North Devon. Despite the torrential rain, a big crowd was in attendance and pushed the best of a superb line up of John Deere tractors to a huge £72,000 with others at £43,200 from the same good home. The best of the farm machinery hit £12,500 with a hedge trimmer at £14,500 and the Keenan feeder at £5,450 going off to the North Cornwall coast.

Next we had the dispersal of farm machinery at Duloe, South Cornwall for the sale on behalf of life time Kivells customers Messrs Bray-Rounsevell which saw the best tractor at £11,800 whilst the selection of trailers raced to £3,950 for the 10 year old Marshall.

It was a pleasure to sell an entry of 100 field gates on behalf of Devon County Council to £160.

One of the highlights of 2019 was the June sale which attracted one of the biggest crowds ever seen at Holsworthy Market. Top of the sale was the 1949 Series 1 Landrover which itself attracted over 41,000 views on the Kivells website and raced away to a spectacular £25,500 following a bidding war between 4 phone bidders, 2 commission bidders and 7 active bidders in the yard. On the same day, the best of over 2,000 lots reached £16,000 for the New Holland 8870.
