The changing area will be provided with water, tea and coffee, some light snacks and a friendly crew to guide you through the exam experience, as well as free Wi i access in both rooms. F For this edi�on, we have opted for as an examiner, so Esther Bromley ADCRG - BG grades Preliminary through 6 will be provided. Please remember to bring along proof of any previous grades taken, if applicable - they shall be requested.

Payment can be done on the day (in EUR or RON) Payment can be done as individual dancers or for all the registered dancers of par�cipa�ng schools - in which case full payment must be done once the first dancer of the school goes into the examina�on room.

*These are minimum fees. If overall expenses are bigger, the fees are raised and split between all par�cipants.

Teachers registered with CLRG need to send in a list of the par�cipants, sta�ng names, dates of birth and Grades wished to be done (see table at end of document) no later than September 4th 2016, by email to the contacts provided on the last page of this document.

1. Only Basic Steps may be danced in the Preliminary grade and Grades 1, 2 & 3.2. The number of bars of music to be danced to for all Reels, Single or Hop Jigs, Light Jigs, Slip Jigs, Heavy Jigs and Hornpipes is 40.3. St. Patrick’s Day, Blackbird, Garden of Daisies, Job of Journeywork, King of the Fairies, Three Sea Captains, and Jockey to the Fair must be performed in a tradi�onal style and manner.4. A dancer must take all grades in order, beginning with Grade 1 (the Preliminary grade is op�onal). However, a candidate may only a�empt a maximum of 3 consecu�ve Grades at any one si�ng.5. Candidates must be able to adequately demonstrate prac�cal and theore�cal knowledge of all ceili dances as per “Ár Rincí Ceili”, as specified in the syllabus for Grades 5 - 12 inclusive. Dancers will not be asked to teach these dances.6. Dance costumes should not be worn. 7. All candidates must provide previous reports before proceeding to higher grades. Please bring to the exam.8. All 12 Grade Examina�ons must be completed to be eligible to apply for the TCRG Examina�on effec�ve from January 1st 2018.9. A three month period must elapse before the next grade is a�empted.10. Grade exams must be examined by at least 4 examiners up to grade 10 plus two different full examiners for grades 11 and 12.11. A choice of examiners by the teacher is allowed up to grade 6, using a minimum of 2 examiners through these grades.12. The same examiner may not examine in the same class for a period of 3 years.13. A dancer would be permi�ed to retake any grade for a be�er score upon submission of a specific wri�en request to the Udarás Scrúdaithe, with the understanding that the second result would replace the earlier one and that the dancer would be required to pay the usual fee for the grade being taken.
