The blowers ensure that the membrane remains fully inflated under all conditions of gas filling and consumption. This requires the blower to be rated at 140% greater throughput than the

maximum gas consumption rate of the plant.

The membrane form is achieved by

precisely cutting the textile roll to accurate design patterns.

These patterns are based on over

20 years experience of the behaviour of the textile under pressurised conditions, and have become a very specialised shape to ensure even stress distribution throughout the structure.

The gas holder must be installed ‘in-line’ between the digester and the gas consumption equipment; this ensures a constant flow of ‘fresh’ biogas through the Gas Holder and eliminates the risk of biogas stratification.

BIODOME® AD PLANT SCHEMATIC

Placing our BIODOME® on top of the digester provides major benefits such as; No concrete base required, no additional pipe work, space saving and no steel roof on tank. Generally this option will save a significant amount of capital costs.

The BIODOME® is situated directly above the gas production to provide a buffer storage volume between production and usage.

The gas holder must be installed ‘in-line’ between the digester and the gas consumption equipment, ensuring a constant flow of ‘fresh’ biogas through the gas holder and eliminates the risk of biogas stratification.

Pressure drop across each section of the plant is directly related to the size and length of the pipework, number of valves and fittings through which the gas must flow. The BIODOME is the pressure input to the gas system, resulting in the digester pressure being higher and all downstream equipment being lower.

BIODOME MEMBRANE SPECIFICATIONS & QUALITY

• The membrane is designed to DIN codes for air supported structures.

• Both the inner & outer membrane have UV protection and has an additional

anti-static coating.

• The coating is also a treatment for protection against sulphur found in biogas.

• The membrane is specified for a low methane permeability of 165ml/m2/day/bar pressure.

• BIODOME uses the strongest textile membrane currently commercially available.

• We supply the same strength textile fabric for both inner & outer membrane.

• Total traceability is maintained for every metre of membrane weld for our quality records.
