Franklin Township Animal Shelter houses cats and
dogs waiting for a permanent home, and provides animal
control services to township residents. Over 1,000 animals
come through the shelter’s doors each year. The shelter is located in the
municipal complex on Demott Lane, and is open Tuesday –Saturday from
12:00 – 3:00, and Thursday evenings from 5:30 – 7:30.
Second Chance For Animals is a
not-for-profit volunteer organization that
helps animals in need in Franklin Township.
We provide support to the Franklin Township
Animal Shelter and community through fundraising, education and
community outreach, fostering, and helping with animal care.
Funds raised by Second Chance are also used to spay and neuter all animals
prior to adoption. SCFA partners with the Franklin Township Food Bank to
supply pet food to pet owners served by the Franklin Township Food Bank.
