The first studies of geoglyphs In August 2007, it was organized archaeological expedition. The

aim of the expedition was the archaeological excavations at the site "Ushtogaysky square", in order to identify the culture he built a grand size "grave complex." It is this assumption is dominated at the time. The results were similar to the results of excavations conducted on Ushtogayskom square in 2007.

In December 2014, in the Journal of BBC History, published an article about the geoglyphs Turgay. In the summer of 2014, archaeologist Dr. Giedre Motuzaite Matuzeviciute of Vilnius University took samples of soil on the Big geoglyphs Ashutastinsky Ashutastinskoe cross and ring. Using the method of OSL-analysis was obtained by the date of construction of these facilities - about 3 thousand years ago. What about the lower limit, on the basis of indirect evidence, according to the working hypothesis "Turgay discovery", the earliest date construction kurganoobraznyh geoglyphs - more than 8000 years.

Conclusion Geoglyphs of Turgay depression are unique buildings.

Analogs in the neighboring and other areas of Eurasia are not available, making it difficult comparison with the known archaeological cultures. Within the Turgay depression detected and investigated Mahandzharskaya Neolithic culture. Circumstantial evidence points to communicate Mahandzharskoy culture and the earliest geoglyphs Turgay Trough. Mahandzharskaya culture dates back to 7-5 millennium BC. There are traces of the continuity of cultural elements Mahandzharskoy subsequent crops until the end of the Bronze Age, which coincides with the upper limit of the construction of geoglyphs in Turgay basin. Further, more in-depth study of the geoglyphs and versatile Turgay deflection give much new information about the life of its ancient inhabitants.
