Project Selection Criteria for New Funding
1. Long-term pavement preservation projects
2. Additional bridge repairs and replacements to continue to meet performance targets.
3. Initial investments in major urban corridor projects like I-94 from St Paul to Minneapolis, and Twin Ports Interchange in Duluth, to reduce the impact on future programs.
4. Other priority investment areas that were funded below the MnSHIP levels
5. Areas identified by Districts as risks within their existing program

• The criteria used to score Corridors of Commerce projects was defined in legislation as:
1. Return on Investment
2. Measureable Impacts on Commerce & Economic Competitiveness
3. Efficiency in the Movement of Freight Including:
• Measures of AADT & HCAADT
• Measures of congestion or travel time reliability
4. Improvements to Traffic Safety
5. Connections to Regional Trade Centers, Local Highways & Other Transportation Modes
6. Addresses Multiple System Policy Objectives & Principles
7. Support and Consensus for Project by Surrounding Community
8. Regional Balance
Timeline for Corridors of Commerce Projects
• Summer 2017: MnDOT reviewing scoring criteria
• October – November 2017: ATP input meetings

• December 2017 – January 2018: Corridors of Commerce Project Recommendations
