Georgia Historical Records Advisory Council (GHRAC) Student Awards
Do you know a student or educator who has done outstanding research using historical records? Consider nominating him or her for the Georgia Historical Records Advisory Council (GHRAC) awards. GHRAC established the Archives Awards Program in 2003 to recognize outstanding efforts in archives and records research in Georgia. These awards include two categories to recognize students in grades 6-8 and grades 9-12. Student projects must be based upon significant historical research using primary
sources. Students may be nominated by a teacher, advisor, administrator, or appropriate organization. Educators are eligible for the Award for Excellence in the Educational Use of Historical Records, which recognizes the outstanding use of primary sources in a classroom or school district curriculum. Visit http://www.georgiaarchives.org/ghrac for instructions on how to complete the nomination form and to view previous award recipients. Nominations will be accepted beginning February 1, 2017 and must be postmarked by June 1, 2017.
