Developing Strategies: Post Diagnosis Interventions for Individuals with FASD Thursday May, 22nd and Friday May 23rd , 2014

General Information This training will provide information on best practices and current research regarding intervention and support strategies for post FASD diagnosis planning. It will assist clinic team members and others to develop appropriate and meaningful support plans and diagnostic report recommendations. Presenters will provide participants with information about links between research and evidence-based best practices for post clinic interventions, supports and treatment to enhance the lives of those with FASD and their caregivers.

Training Objectives
9 Increase understanding of research findings, clinical treatment and strategies in areas of sensory processing; mental health; and intervention practices working from brain to system level approaches;
9 Create opportunity for participants to learn from clinical experts, researchers; 9 Network and interact with interdisciplinary colleagues.
Who Should Attend? This training is useful for FASD Assessment & Diagnostic Clinic Team members and others involved in post diagnosis intervention planning, including, but not limited to the following:

Venue Edmonton Clinic Health Academy Building, University of Alberta, Edmonton (Located East of the Jubilee Auditorium and Car Park and easy access with the Health Sciences LRT Station). Paid parking lot is adjacent to the ECHA building.
Fees & Registration $150.00/person: includes catered lunch, tea, and coffee on both days of training.
Due to limited number of participants there will be no cancellation refunds; however, you may substitute another person from your agency or clinic if you are unable to attend. See further details on registration form
