Target group: Adult and youngadult learners (16+) throughout theworld at elementary level (A1–B1).

Target group: Teenagers with noprior knowledge of German.

Content: »Planet« is basedthemati cally on the real world asexperienced by German teenagerstoday and on the language theyuse. The 5–6-page chapters havebeen carefully structured.Pronunciation exercises and gamesfor partner and classwork help tovary the materials. The course has aflat progression and takes studentsin three volumes through CEFR levels A1,A2, and B1. It also prepares themfor the Fit in Deutsch 1, Fit inDeutsch 2, and Zertifikat Deutschfür Jugendliche examinations.

Available: Workbook, 2 Audio-CDs/Cassettes with listening texts,listening comprehension exercisesand songs, as well as an Audio-CD/Cassette with pronunciationpractice, a Teacher’s Book,Vocabulary Trainer on CD-ROMand a DVD.

Planet-DVDThe DVD provides not only culturalinformation on the themes of hob-bies, school, housing, shopping,sports, and ‘my day’, but alsodescribes daily life situations in thelives of young people in funny, lightacting scenes. This adds some reali-ty to the classroom in an entertain-ing way. The acting scenes can beselected individually in any order.

Thus, the DVD supports teachingwith »Planet« by adding fun andinformation. However, it is notrequired for teaching the course.

Target Group: Teenagers andyoung adults without previousknowledge in Germany and abroad.

Content: »Ideen« is a course thatprovides professional material forthe particular challenges of teach-ing teenage classes. In making thetransition from childhood to adult-hood, the teenagers must newlydefine their own identity. Thereforeeverything in »Ideen« is stream-lined to meet these requirements.
