Details on Certified Public Account (CPA) program from ICFAI

ICFAI University, offers a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) program in two modes, Regular and Accelerated. Duration of

Regular CPA is 24 months and Accelerated CPA is 12 months. After CPA course, candidates can look for career

opportunities in banking, insurance, risk advisory services, BPOs and ITES.

CPA Course Structure

CPA course offered by ICFAI University is divided into six groups that is Group A, B, C, D, E and F. First three groups are at

DAT level and the other three groups are at CPA level.

Structure of CPA course is given below.

The group examination will be conducted in the months of January, April, July and October every year. The examination will

be held on any Sunday’s of these months.

Duration of CPA course

Students can enrol into either Regular CPA or Accelerated CPA. If the students join the Regular CPA, then they can appear

for the Group A exam after 5 months from the date of enrolment. They can appear for the examination of each group every

three months in a sequential order. Thus the students can finish this course after two years. If the students opt for

Accelerated CPA, then they need to appear for the examination of Group A and B after 5 months. After three months, they

can appear for the examination of Group C and D. Also, it is possible for them to appear for Group E and F examination

right after three months. Thus the duration of Accelerated CPA is for one year.

Jobs after CPA course

Those who have completed CPA course can work as Accounts Executive, Chartered Accountant or Chief Accountant. They

can also look for various jobs in Tax Advisory Services, Legal Advisory Services and Business Advisory Services. If they are

interested to work in any Audit Services firm, then they can take up the job of Audit Executive, Audit Supervisor or Audit

Manager depending on the experience.

They can also seek job opportunities as Credit Control Manager, Finance Executive and Financial Controller. They can find

employment in insurance services firms as Insurance Advisor. CPA students can also work as Risk Assurance Manager or

Risk Assurance Officer in various Risk Advisory Service companies.
