Valued investors, partners and members of Partnership Gwinnett and the Gwinnett Chamber:
As we wrap up 2016, I want to express my gratitude to you for your continued commitment and remarkable support of Partnership Gwinnett. For the last 10
years, your ongoing investment and invaluable guidance has helped us not only build, but maintain Gwinnett as the premier destination to live, work and play.
Even though we are about to journey into a new decade for Partnership Gwinnett, we couldn’t be more excited for the path we have collectively built for our community to continue to be known for its economic strength and vitality.
Partnership Gwinnett will begin implementing its next five-year strategic plan, PG 3.0, this coming January. In partnership with Market Street Services, this updated framework will further build our dedicated efforts to recruit, retain and expand new and existing companies in Gwinnett County, as well as assist us in maintaining our reputation as leaders in economic development.
As we wrap up 2016, we want to look back and take note of our continued success. We had 15 project wins that translated into more than 2,500 jobs across five target industries. We were also presented with the opportunity to visit more than 130 existing companies in our community, as well as dedicate time to international travel in order to further growth in jobs and wealth creation opportunities.
Small business and entrepreneurship played a major role in our growth this year with the continued efforts of the Gwinnett Angels and through the success of the Amazing Entrepreneur Contest.
Our commitment and progressive strategy in promoting the opportunities and assets that Gwinnett County provides was recognized this year by the International Economic Development Council with an Award of Excellence for a multi-year program.
As we prepare for the start of another award-winning initiative, I want to extend to you my sincere appreciation and thanks for supporting our endeavors in enhancing quality of life for Gwinnett. Together we will continue to make Gwinnett a destination of choice.
It has been my pleasure to serve you and our community.
