DENPLANNATIONALCONFERENCE2015

Hilton London Syon Park

Friday 11th – Sunday 13th September

II

FOREWORD

to members of Denplan’s leadership team and the ever-attentive Denplan Events Team will be on hand to make sure that your every need is met during your stay.

For those of you who haven’t attended before, why not make the 2015 National Conference your first

experience? We’ve assembled a world-leading range of speakers combined with an unmatched experience of a full weekend of learning, leisure and hospitality. There are a number of dental conferences that are available, however this is the only one that past attendees say has that special Denplan “buzz”

of knowing that you are amongst your peers in an atmosphere that recognises the importance of both

learning and living it up a bit.

We are very excited to have a new venue for 2015, the fabulous Hilton London Syon Park, a scenic country retreat set on the stunning, historical 200-acre Syon Park estate and only seven miles from the city of London. Being so close to our capital city, means our brilliant family programme has something to appeal to everyone, so no excuse not to bring the family! There is always a strong demand for places, so please book early to avoid disappointment.

I look forward to welcoming you to the Denplan National Conference in September 2015.

Best regards

It was the Roman philosopher and poet Virgil who first noted that “time flies” and that seems to be an increasingly fair reflection of our day to day professional and personal lives. So it will only feel like a couple of minutes until the 2015 Denplan National Conference will be upon us too!

For those of you who have been previously you will know the Conference as an almost unique mixture of presenters, both dental and wider interest speakers, an unrivalled range of activities to involve your team and your family members, and a unique opportunity to spend time among like-minded Denplan dentists. You know that you will have direct access

Excellence in Restorative Dentistry 1: Direct Restorations

Saturday’s clinical programme will begin with Jason Smithson the UK's leading expert in direct aesthetic restorative techniques. An outstanding clinician and charismatic lecturer, Jason’s beautiful clinical presentations have made him one of the few British presenters to be sought after on the crowded restorative lecture circuit in the USA.

Following Jason, Maciej Zarow will take aesthetic direct restorations to the next level as he provides a practical guide to the direct restoration of complex cavities and endodontically treated teeth. Maciej too is famous worldwide for his skill with composite and stunning clinical photography. He is a member of the exclusive style italiano group and along with Jason will demonstrate the almost limitless potential for the restoration of function and aesthetics using direct composite.

There will be blood!

Saturday afternoon will bring a complete change of direction beginning with Amit Patel ‘The sky-diving periodontist’! As with the morning’s presenters, Amit’s clinical excellence is matched by his outstanding clinical photography and videography, which he will use to present a comprehensive range of periodontal techniques in his engaging presentation style.

Following Amit we will arrive at the summit of the secondary care service with a hugely entertaining double act from two of the world’s most renowned maxillo-facial, head and neck and reconstructive surgeons. Sat Parmar and Tim Martin work together at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham and will provide a fascinating overview of their innovative and pioneering techniques across a comprehensive range of surgical procedures.

Please be advised that this afternoon’s lectures will contain some graphic images of oral and maxillo-facial operations and traumatic and battlefield injuries.

Excellence in Restorative Dentistry 2: Indirect Restorations

Sunday’s restorative session will be entirely devoted to indirect restorations beginning with Rob Lynock, one of the UK's leading ceramicists and internationally famous for his technical skill and exquisite photographic presentations that quite literally need to be seen to be believed.

Rob is a hard act to follow but the final presentation is in the safe hands of Anthony Summerwill, a consultant in restorative dentistry and owner of an exclusive private practice. In common with all of the presenters in the clinical programme, Anthony’s passion for his subject, entertaining presentation style and stunning use of visual aids will make this comprehensive update on the latest techniques in implantology accessible to implantologists and non-implantologists alike.
