DAY 10 THU 26 FEBJAIPUR
The hilltop Amber Fort is our first stop for a glimpse of Mughal luxury, circa 1592. We’ve found some great shopping in Jaipur and there’s plenty of time to indulge this afternoon.
DAY 11 FRI 27 FEBJAIPUR
Two exquisite Mughal gardens today then a private elephant safari through the sleepy countryside before dinner at a country farm of a renowned Jaipur family.
DAY 12 SAT 28 FEBJAIPUR TO SAMODE
You’ll fancy you’ve landed in a film set as we check in to Samode Palace, our home for the next two days. This palace, set in a deep gully surrounded by dramatic hills, was the setting for scenes in the film ‘The Far Pavillions’.
DAY 13 SUN 1 MARSAMODE
We’ll take a jeep safari this morning through the villages and farmlands around Samode to see Indian rural life up close. Lunch today in a glorious Mughal gardens then head back to enjoy the evening at Samode Palace
DAY 14 MON 2 MARSAMODE TO DELHI
This morning travel back to Delhi. We have free time today to relax and enjoy Delhi.
DAY 15 TUE 3 MARDELHI
Hauz Khas ‘The Royal Tank’ is first this morning, referring to the large water reservoir built in 13th C. Next Dilli Haat will excite as we wonder at the open handicraft bazaar and food plaza for last minute shopping.
DAY 16 WED 4 MARDELHI - HOME
Visit the treasures of the National Museum this morning, the largest in India. The rest of the day will be at leisure. Late check out included until 6pm. Depart Delhi for the flight home.
DAY 17 THU 5 MARARRIVE SYDNEY
Welcome home.

DAY 1 TUE 17 FEBSYDNEY TO DELHI
Your tour leader will meet you at Sydney airport for your flight to New Delhi. We’re based at the Hotel Imperial Delhi, winner of ‘Best Luxury Hotel in India’.
DAY 2 WED 18 FEBDELHI
Visit the site of the first Muslim kingdom in northern India. Then the tomb of Humayun which inspired the design of the Taj Mahal.
DAY 3 THU 19 FEBDELHI
Today we’ll immerse ourselves in the frenetic pace of Meena Bazaar and Chandni Chowk. Take a rickshaw ride through the old city to the Red Fort.
DAY 4 FRI 20 FEBDELHI
We’ll tour New Delhi this morning, including the area designed by Edward Lutyens. Birla House this afternoon where Mahatma Gandhi was assassinated.
DAY 5 SAT 21 FEBDELHI TO AGRA
We head for Agra along the Grand
Trunk Road to stay 2 nights at the ITC Mughal. Late afternoon visit the tomb of I’timãd-ud-Daulah, known as the ‘Baby Taj’ and Mughal gardens on the banks of the Yamuna River.
DAY 6 SUN 22 FEBAGRA
A day to remember as we rise early to see the Taj Mahal; from sunrise pinks to sunset golds as colours change through the day.
DAY 7 MON 23 FEBAGRA TO RANTHAMBORE
Keep the camera ready for the magnificent red sandstone buildings that is Fatehpur Sikri. Lunch at Chandra Mahal Haveli and take the afternoon train to Ranthambore for 2 nights at Fort Nahargarth.
DAY 8 TUE 24 FEBRANTHAMBORE
We’re off on a safari to Ranthambore National Park; fingers crossed for tiger spotting.
DAY 9 WED 25 FEBRANTHAMBORE - JAIPUR
Travel to Jaipur for 3 nights in the magnificent Taj Rambagh Palace set in 47 acres of gardens, fountains and strutting peacocks.
