FOREWORD
I have written many foreword before this one, but coming up with this one
was a bit of a struggle for many reasons. The one that stood out was that I am
nearing the end of my AIESEC career as an active member of the
organization.
I thought speaking about what I will miss about AIESEC conferences would
be most ideal for this foreword, and hopefully at the end you will feel
compelled enough to become part of these last moments with me.
The ENERGY. That is what I will miss. From the English dictionary
ENERGY is a current that runs through your spirit pushing you towards
becoming the grandest version of yourself. As we get older, we lose the urge to
do roll-calls to deliver content in a fun way, although I promise to integrate
this style into my delivery in future it will never be the same.
That being said, I would like to recognize Obotseng Froggy Rsntsebele and his
team for putting this conference together in such a commendable way, and for
giving me the confidence that we are once again going to experience what it
means to be a part of a purpose driven youth culture that will magically
transform us into leaders of tomorrow.
Here is to STEPping UP, to the challenge, to the sacrifice and to the idea of
peace, and realizing that BEing GREAT comes only from the fulfillment of
humankind’s potential.
