members of The Redeemed Christian Church of God

Wisdom Assembly, my wife and I joyfully and gratefully

welcome our Daddy, The General Overseer of The Redeemed

Christian Church of God Worldwide Pastor E . A . Adeboye,

and our Mummy, Pastor (Mrs .) Folu Adeboye to Wisdom

Assembly and to Kansas city, Missouri . We also welcome

Pastor James Fadele, the Chairman Board of Provincial

Pastors and Zonal Coordinators RCCGNA, Pastor Adeleke

Adeboye and Apostle Anthony Aladekoba .

We are all gathered here today for the dedication of the

home of The Redeemed Christian Church of God Wisdom

Assembly a .k .a . Wisdom Embassy, here in Kansas City,

Missouri . Today is not about an achievement but more so

about refueling our courage to gather momentum on this

great adventure in fulfilling God‘s great commission .

According to Apostle Paul, I say “Not as though I had

already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow

after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am

apprehended of Christ Jesus . Brethren, I count not myself to

have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those

things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those

things which are before, I press toward

the mark for the prize of the high

calling of God in Christ Jesus” .

Amen .

Our being here today started at

far away London, England and as

far back as the latter end of 2005

when I received a new mandate from

our Daddy Pastor Adeboye to go far

away . This coincided with the

mandate earlier received

from God through the

Holy Spirit to leave

London for America

since the year 2000 .

On arrival in

America with

a blessing, I could not make out where exactly I should be

headed until my covenant brothers and friends Pastor Ropo

Tusin, Pastor Leke Sanusi and I went into some intensive

prayers in Pastor Ropo’s house in Texas and Kansas City

showed up by the Holy Spirit . Pastor Ropo and I surveyed

the land twice but fear of the unknown made me delay a

bit until the Spirit of urgency came and together with a

few other Pastors starting their own journey elsewhere,

we received our mandates afresh from the Chairman

Pastor James Fadele .

With no resources, I headed for a city where I knew nobody

but equipped only with the grace of God . With the support

of my friends and Senior Pastors (time and space will fail

me to name them all), I became resolute in my mind not to

be counted amongst those who came and left; I burnt my

bridges . Everyone who is part of this ministry today, I met

in Kansas City and both ministers and workers have

worked tirelessly hitherto .

We want to give all the glory to God that three parishes

have already emerged from here in the last 5 years of our

existence . I pray that today will be a day we will all live

to remember as this ground and the little space here is

dedicated unto the Lord and as we receive a motherly and

fatherly blessing . This place today will be renewed as God’s

habitation . So get ready for your own encounter today . This

ground becomes a unique ground today in Jesus name .

Halleluiah! Recognize where you are today so that you

will be able to refer to this day for the next level of your life .

To Wisdom Assembly ministers, workers and members, we

still have a great mandate ahead of us to fulfill, parishes to

birth, lives to transform, valleys and mountains to take for

God the builder of all things . We are not there yet, but we

are at the Spirit’s Station to flush our engines, renew our

strength and soar like eagles . Once again, welcome to

Wisdom Embassy, the home of the Redeemed Christian

Church of God Wisdom Assembly where we are raising

a people of great value in Jesus name .

The RCCG Wisdom Assembly parish is glad to publish ‘Wisom from the Word (Dedication Edition)’ which will definitely bless all who read it . This edition is themed ‘dedication edition’ . It is the will of God that we present our bodies a living sacrifice to Him . In all our giving to God and His work, He still requires us to first dedicate ourselves to Him (Rm 12:1) .

King David was one of God’s favorites who enjoyed His favor, forgiveness and blessings . He appreciated how the Lord brought him from grass to grace, from prison to palace, and from a shepherd of sheep to shepherding the entire nation of Israel (2 Sam 7:8-9) . As a show of his appreciation, King David wanted to build a temple unto God . However, David was not given the privilege, but God instructed that his son Solomon would build it . God told David that his hands had shed too much blood (1 Chr 22:8) . God was not angry with David, neither was He uninterested in the building project . However, this act of God demonstrates the emphasis He places on the one giving the offering more than on what is being offered . To show that God was also interested in the gift, in this instance, he allowed Solomon to build the temple . In 2 Chr 3:1 the Bible says

“Then Solomon began to build the house of the LORD at Jerusalem in mount Moriah, where the LORD appeared unto David his father, in the place that David had prepared in the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite” .

This location had been previously dedicated to God for the building of the temple . God honors dedication! He did not ask Solomon to look for another piece of land . As soon as Solomon finished the building, the Bible made us to understand in 2 Chr 5:1

“Thus all the work that Solomon made for the house of the LORD was finished: and Solomon brought in all the things that David his father had dedicated; and the silver, and the gold, and all the instruments, put he among the treasures of the house of God” .

The temple was bulit on a piece of land that was dedicated to Him, and all the temple accessories were equally dedicated to Him . Even at this time, God was waiting for a dedicated people in order for Him to dwell among them . Beloved, the people are the temple! And you are the temple of the Living God! 2 cor 6:16 . As soon as the people dedicated themselves and came to worship God in unison, His coming into their midst was inevitable . In 2 Chr 5: 11-14(NLT)

“11 . Then the priests left the Holy Place . All the priests who were present had purified themselves, whether or not they were on duty that day . 12 . And the Levites who were musicians — Asaph, Heman, Jeduthun, and all their sons and brothers — were dressed in fine linen robes and stood at the east side of the altar playing cymbals, lyres, and harps . They were joined by 120 priests who were playing trumpets . 13 . The trumpeters and singers performed together in unison to praise and give thanks to the LORD . Accompanied by trumpets, cymbals, and other instruments, they raised their voices and praised the LORD with these words:’He is good! His faithful love endures forever!’

At that moment a thick cloud filled the Temple of the LORD . 14 . The priests could not continue their service because of the cloud, for the glorious presence of the LORD filled the Temple of God” .

Whether those people were on duty that day or not, the Bible says they all came . No excuses! No blemishes! Today, God is still looking for a people sanctified and without excuses, who will bring His presence down . We are believing God to be such a people, and to be used by God to build such a people .

Our Lord Jesus preached the same message of dedication in Lk 11:42 (KJV) when He told the Pharisees,

“But woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass over judgment and the love of God: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone” .

While not condemning the paying of tithes-a vital aspect of our service to God-Jesus admonished the Pharisees to first be at home with the Lord; then their offerings would be meaningful . Additionally, the generous gifts of the Macedonians were documented in scriptures for three main reasons . In 2 Cor 8:3-5 (NLT)

“3 .For I can testify that they gave not only what they could afford, but far more . And they did it of their own free will . 4 .They begged us again and again for the privilege of sharing in the gift for the believers in Jerusalem .5 .They even did more than we had hoped, for their first action was to give themselves to the Lord and to us, just as God wanted them to do” .

They first gave (dedicated)themselves to the Lord . Secondly, they gave more than what they could afford . These people can be said to have given to God at a cost . They did not give the left-overs . Although Jerusalem had captured the land of the Jebusites under King David’s leadership, when Araunah wanted to give David the land at no cost to build the temple, he (David) determined to pay .

“But the king replied to Araunah, “No, I insist on buying it, for I will not present burnt offerings to the LORD my God that have cost me nothing .” So David paid him fifty pieces of silver for the threshing floor and the oxen (2 Sam 24:24, NLT)” .

Thirdly, the Macedonians gave freely . No one needed to encourage them to give . They went all out begging the apostles to allow them to give . This is an uncommon attribute in our contemporary christianity .

From the foregoing, it is imperative for us to be dedicated to Him . In this dedication and maiden edition of Wisdom from the Word magazine, we featured timely messages and other materials that we believe to have great potential to build up your faith and further reiterate the need for dedication . May you be richly blessed as you read, in Jesus’ Name . Amen .

The Redeemed Christian Church Of GodIn 1952, Pa Akindayomi obeyed the call of God by leaving his old Cherubim and Seraphim church to start a house fellowship in Lagos (Nigeria) called the Glory of God Fellowship . Initially there were nine members but before long the fellowship rapidly grew as the news of the miracles that occurred in their midst spread . Pa Akindayomi also had a vision from God, of the name of the church “The Redeemed Christian Church of God” written on a blackboard .

Amazingly, Pa Akindayomi who could not read or write was supernaturally able to write these words down . In this visitation, God also said to him that this church would go to the ends of the earth and that when the Lord Jesus Christ appeared in glory, He would meet the church . The Lord then established a covenant with Pa Akindayomi, synonymous to the Abrahamic covenant in the Bible . He said that He the Lord would meet all the needs of the church in an awesome way if only members would serve Him faithfully and be obedient to His Word . It is upon this covenant that the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) was built .

Thus, the RCCG was born in 1952, destined by the Lord Himself to take the world for Him . The church continued to meet at 9 Willoughby Street in Ebute-Metta, Lagos until they were able to acquire some land and relocate to the present site of the church Headquarters located at 1-5 Redemption Way, Ebute-Metta, Lagos, Nigeria . Sometime in the early 70s, God told Pa Akindayomi that his successor, who was currently not a member of the church, would be a young educated man . Thus, when a young university lecturer joined the church in 1973, Papa was able to recognize him in the Spirit as the one that the Lord had spoken about in the past . This man, Enoch Adejare Adeboye who was then a lecturer of Mathematics at the University of Lagos soon became one of the interpreters translating Pa Akindayomi’s sermons from Yoruba to English and was later ordained a pastor of the church in 1975 .

Pa Josiah Akindayomi eventually passed on at the age of 71 . Before Papa went on

to meet his Creator, he sent for Pastor Adeboye and spent several hours sharing with him details of the covenant and the plans of the Lord for the church . After Papa’s death and burial, Pastor Adeboye was formally appointed as the General Overseer by the reading of Pa Akindayomi’s sealed pronouncement .

Under his leadership, after stepping into the office of the General Overseer, the church has witnessed an open explosion and today has at least 2000 parishes in Nigeria . On the International scene, the church is present in several African nations, Europe, North America (USA and Canada), the Middle East, the United Kingdom, Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Germany, Greece, France, Switzerland, Austria, Denmark, Sweden, Haiti, Jamaica, Australia, Norway etc . Today, God is still doing marvelous deeds through the RCCG worldwide .

Pastor Adeboye, fondly called “Daddy G .O .” by all is the convener of the famed ‘Holy Ghost Night Service’ which holds on the first Friday of every month and the ‘Holy Ghost Congress’ in the month of December . Both programs hold as directed by the Holy Ghost at the Redemption City’s 2-kilometer wide auditorium, Lagos-Ibadan expressway, Nigeria .

By the grace and anointing of God on Daddy’s life, hundreds of thousands of creative miracles have been recorded whenever and wherever he ministers . By the grace of God, everywhere he goes, signs and wonders follow . He is ‘the Elisha’ of our generation . He is an adviser to many Presidents, power brokers and Heads of States around the world . In 2008, the American magazine ‘Newsweek’ named Pastor E . A . Adeboye as the most powerful man in Africa and the 49th most powerful man in the world . His humility despite the fame, has been exemplary .

Daddy is happily married with children to Pastor Mrs . Folu Adeboye, fondly called ‘Mummy G .O .’ and both Daddy and Mummy are going about taking the world for the Lord . May the good Lord continue to strenthen them in His work .

The word of God says in Psalm 127, “Except the Lord build a house, they labor in vain that build it” . The hand of the Lord moved mightily concerning the mandate to start a parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God in greater Kansas City . Since the vision for a viable international church that preaches undiluted word of God unfolded, Jesus Christ Himself has been the cornerstone .

“In the beginning was the Word, The Word was with God, The Word was God”, John 1:1 . The abiding presence of the word ensured that there was healing, freedom, declaration of God’s acceptable truth, and straightening of crooked paths . In addition, the Lord ordered that Word to kindle and urge the unstoppable desire in His servant, Pastor Cal Lawanson to have a perfectly matching vision with that of the General Overseer, Pastor Enoch A . Adeboye . Pastor Cal moved from a thriving ministry in the United Kingdom to gather and shepherd a scattered and beleaguered Household of Faith in the dreary and lonely greater Kansas City area . The mandate from God was specific and direct; faithful immigrant and willing natives of greater Kansas must be united, healed, freed, and delivered by the truth . Thus in 2007, Pastor Cal arrived to give expression and execution to the marching order from God .

Nothing was familiar, but he was focused on his mission and the vision set before him . Pastor Cal Lawanson was pioneering a seemingly strange ministry by inviting anyone who would grant him audience . The beginning was small . However, the church took off with a handful number of committed members . Then the bright star

unfolded in its firmament, a place where people of great value are raised . A new dawn shined through the land, an excitement in the hearts of the people, a light on the mountaintop .

Numerous night vigils took place in a two-bedroom apartment, where the presence of our Lord was evident . Slowly but surely it unfolded; when a man’s ways pleases the Lord, He will grant him the desires of his heart . The apartment grew smaller because the believers grew larger .

The search for a bigger space began . Our Lord smiled on Wisdom Assembly and made room for a bigger place of worship, the Holiday Inn, North Kansas City . The stay was short because God wanted a space bigger for his Covenant people . The Ministry relocated to Finnigan’s Hall in North Kansas City . A more reasonable but bigger place, where the ministry grew and the people were taught the unadulterated Word of God . Leadership and Discipleship classes were taught . Ministers were consecrated and the ministry grew more robust . The firm foundation of the ministry was established but with limitations that were not beyond the power of God . Wisdom Assembly was inaugurated with a great celebration on the 5th of May 2007

The search for a semi permanent site was imperative so that Wisdom Assembly could have complete activities . That was how the church moved to her erstwhile location at 12128 Blue Ridge Blvd, Grandview Missouri . The church launched a million dollar fund for a more befitting Wisdom Embassy .

The launch seemed like a dream, but to the Glory of GOD, the dream is now a reality . Our GOD has made room for Wisdom Embassy, no more a dream but an imprint of God’s divine presence in Kansas City, a fruitful branch of the covenant that governs this great ministry of RCCG Worldwide; and the evidence of diligence and commitment to the commission of the Cross . Truly, the grace of GOD towards Wisdom Embassy is greatly appreciated .

The vision is now 5 years, still building a people of great value . The church is making impact on the community through evangelical outreaches in form of feeding the hungry, medical mission and provision of clothing and other materials for the needy . Three Parishes of RCCG have emerged from Wisdom Assembly including (1) Bread of Life, Kansas city, Kansas .(2) Jesus The Source of Life, Fayetteville, North Carolina (3) Good News Evangelical Assembly, Kansas City Missouri (3) and (soon to take off) Rehoboth Parish, North Kansas City, Missouri .

With God, everything has become possible . The people believed it, and they have been able to experience the practical glory of God . The church marches on and it is prevailing over the gates of hell . Nothing compares to the promises of God . We know the Lord has given us this territory in Jesus name .

Overcoming the Enemy WithinWe all need to understand the enemy we face before strategizing on methods to overcome it . Like the Apostle Paul said, “Therefore I do not run uncertainly [without definite aim] . I do not box like one beating the air and striking without an adversary .” 1 Corinthians 9:26 .

God never duplicates His creation, He made us all unique and we were never meant to carry out the same functions in life . Our uniqueness goes deeper than can be comprehensible, and this is one of the revelations of God’s magnificence . All creatures are amazed at each other’s make, which is quite all right, but it becomes a problem when one wants to become the other . While a conflict will definitely ensue when the created decides to convert to what and who they were not meant to be, perfection is only found in God, all He made is perfect and very beautiful .

A mutation of perfection: is being at variance with oneself, purpose and destiny and only one language will be heard from it, which is called strife . You who wonder at things in amazement are actually wondered at, though you may not know it . You are the greatest wonder created by God that amazes the whole of creation . Discontentment with who you are, and what you have, will bring you into conflict with those you ought to be in harmony with . Proving your points at all cost will bring a struggle that may leave you breathless, lose your respect and beauty .

Difference in interest is part of the excitement of life . Life is not meant to be boring; the difference in what we all have, and share makes things

complete . If you are to be heard, you are not meant to force yourself to be heard, but try to do your

best at what you are created to be and do . Let the perfection of what and who you are speak loudly about you .

Strife is not a show of intelligence; it is neither from the depth of knowledge, nor is it an intelligent exercise of strength .

It is not an ingredient of grace, but rather a show of foolishness and shallow

mindedness that reveals a lack of intimate knowledge of

God, and your colorful destiny . The greatest damage to our destiny is not from the conflict we see around us on the outside, but that which happens within us on the inside . The

negative emotion disagrees with our true being .

The existence of some things around us does not mean our involvement in them is necessary . “He that

passeth by, and meddleth with

strife belonging not to him, is like one that taketh a dog by the ears” Proverbs 26:17 .

There can be no denial of the existence of strife in the multifarious aspects of our human live . As long as the voice of the devil is still heard and listened to, telling a lie on God to affect the original perfect set up of universal harmony and serenity, there will always be strife, but it should not be within a godly set up . It will not be a surprise that demons are at variance with one another, but it is shocking, to say the least, when children of God are in conflict with and within themselves . We have been created to show forth the praises of God and not the glories of ourselves . Incomprehension, discontentment and disobedience of our individual purpose are the doors leading to strife .

The devil could not understand why God should give the authority of everything He created to mankind . Man himself was amazed at this fact that King David had to ask God “What is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of [earthborn] man that You care for him? Yet you have made him but a little lower than God [or heavenly beings], and You have crowned him with glory and honour . You made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet” Psalms 8:4-6 . (amplified version) .

Because of this, the devil was no longer contented with who God made him . Since God is the only one with authority above mankind, the devil could not live with that: then he decided he wanted to be God, and began to disobey God in his heart . Strife starts from the heart .

A major strife began there and then and ever since, the conflict between man and the devil continued . That part of mankind who do not have the mind of God began to emulate the character of the devil, hence the continued conflict of interest, opinion, vision and purpose . Apostle James by the Holy Spirit was able to tell us why and what leads to strife in his epistle to the church . “What leads to strife (discords and feuds) and how do conflicts (quarrels and fighting’s) originate among you? Do they not arise from your sensual desires that are warring in your bodily members? You are jealous and covet [what others have] and your desires go unfulfilled; [so] you become murderers . [To hate is to murder as far as your hearts are concerned .] You burn with envy and anger and are not able to obtain [the gratification, the contentment, and the happiness that you seek], so you fight and war . You do not have, because you do not ask .” James 4: 1-2 (amplified version) .

We all have our special gifting in God, as we all have a different reason ordained by God to be on this earth . We will struggle with our personality, and with one another when we leave our gifts and calling; and want the gifts of the other persons . Although gifted differently does not mean gifted equally, yet we can complement each other’s gifts . If you are disillusioned with your gift, it is because you have not understood, and found its value, which is equally important as that of any other person regardless of what they are capable of doing with theirs . Abandoning your calling will create a void originally intended to be filled by you . If you are not the real you, who will accomplish you? In any proper set up, no two people are called to do the same thing, because our uniqueness is a great resource to be developed and tapped into . No matter how many God ordained churches are in a particular city, they are not called to operate in the same manner . If anyone duplicates the other, it is probably because one or both have not really discovered who they really are and what they are called to do .

I have heard some fine brethren say they want to be like their mentor and they are working towards being like their mentor . I think that is all wrong . God has not created us to be like anybody, but like Jesus according to

whom we are to model ourselves . However, we can emulate our mentors . I have a spiritual father, the finest anyone could ever have, but I have never dreamt of being like him, and in fact, I do not think he would want me to be like him . Wanting to be like the other, can create strife that will negate the omnipotence of God .

A craving for what belongs to others has generated a lot of problems, while many people seek after things, they see on others not minding whether it is good for them or not . The fact that your twin brother/sister has something does not mean you should have it .

Your inability to tolerate the success of others will breed strife . Others may be doing something that moves them on, that does not mean you do not have something within you to move you forward as well . It is none of your business the way other people hatch their plan for success, but it is more than your business and a duty on your part to see that you hatch your own plans in a way acceptable to God . You cannot allow the plans of others, no matter how grandiose to destabilize your own God given plan . One great mistake the brothers of Joseph made was to get themselves mad at the dreams of their brother, rather than focusing on their own . They strove with him, and took him through some of the roughest patches in life, but they could still not destroy his dreams . While they were at it, they lost the focus on their own dreams and became totally subservient all their lives .

Everyone May Do His Or Her Own Things, But No One Can Do Your Own Thing, So Keep To Your Own Lane.

If you can’t celebrate yourself, you will always be at war with others around you and even speak ill of people you have seen succeed, but don’t know what and how they succeeded . Unnecessary anger and contention towards the progress of others is an open door to strife . We are not called to contend with the children of God in the kingdom we belong,to, but to contend for the faith, which was once delivered to the saints . “A hot-tempered man stirs up strife, but he who is slow to anger appeases contention .” Proverbs 15:18

We are not to be in competition with one another, if anyone is seeking competition, compete with the Word of God or with your own personality .

Self-exaltation and over estimation has brought unnecessary chasm between brethren in God’s kingdom . The manner in which some people share their testimonies is a cause for strife . Don’t share your testimony as if you earned it all by your doing and not the making and Grace of God . Stop announcing what you do in a way that puts down those who can’t do as much as you can . Everyone around you needs to be encouraged with your position and the blessing of God upon your life . We may all not be same because fingers are not equal, but please don’t make anybody feel useless or feel as if it is by their wrong doing that they have not been promoted or blessed to your level . Be aware that anyone on the ground cannot go further down, but can make their way up . However, the one on top who rests on his laurels can come down . Whether you are on top or below, celebrate yourself and others .

It is also expected of us as God’s children to learn to forgive for our own good . When we forgive someone who offends us, we are not doing that person a favor, but ourselves in order to be secure with God . “He who covers and forgives an offence seeks love, but he who repeats or harps on a matter separates even close friends” Proverbs 17:9

Unforgiveness fuels strife which is a hindrance to answered prayers . Allow issues to be resolved as quickly as possible to close the door against strife .

THE WARNING SIGNS OF STRIFE

For us as children of God, nothing just happens to us out of the blues . We are expected to be “sober and vigilant” in order not to be caught unawares . Watchfulness is a prerequisite of our Christian life, without which the enemy will just walk over us at will .

Our spirit is the candle light of God that searches all things and knows all things even before they begin to happen . However, a candle is useless except it is lit up . Our spirit will be equally useless if it is not lit up, and it is only the Word of God and prayer that can light it up .

With the Word of God richly embedded inside us, we are well equipped to see far and to be extra sensitive . AS FOREIGN BODIES ARE QUICKLY DETECTED IN CLEAR CRYSTAL WATER, SO A CHILD OF GOD SHOULD QUICKLY DETECT THE SPIRIT OF STRIFE .

Whenever the heart is heavy due to jealousy, a quick search must be made . A heavy heart filled with jealousy will soon abhor hatred if not quickly checked . Any time we find ourselves praying to God wrongfully out of focus, asking for things that might not be in His will for us at that moment, we might be doing it because someone else has it or did it . That is a clear sign of strife .

I once heard the story of a man who petitioned God for a certain amount of money he needed for his project, and God granted his request . A few days later he now heard of another man who petitioned God for a higher amount of money and God also granted it, he felt jealous and went back to God in prayer asking for the same amount like the other man . Well God had to ask him why he wanted that same amount, but he could not justify it . This man knew it was a case of strife within him so he had to repent .

Anytime our desires go unfulfilled, we need to check if they are in alignment with the Word of God, because God will never fulfill any desire outside of His will .

“And if (since) we [positively] know that He listens to us in whatever we ask, we also know [with settled and absolute knowledge] that we have [granted us as our present possessions] the requests made of Him . 1 John 5:15 (amplified version) .

You cannot be asking God for the kind of wife or husband someone else has or even the kind of ministry belonging to someone else . Your request must be the one that suits His purpose for your life .

Likewise anytime we begin to run and live our lives based on other people’s faith or vision, there is likelihood of a clash . We are meant to prosper and discover our own vision and calling in life which definitely may be subject to or within other people’s vision for the purpose of maturity . “It is the glory of God to conceal a thing, but the glory of kings is to search out a thing” Proverbs 25:2

Death, accident or failure wish within the heart towards others is a sign of strife .

Even if we all embark on doing the same thing, we can never do that task exactly the same way . The difference in our personalities will show in what we do . Most of the time, we are what we do and for this simple fact, we must not impersonate . We are free to learn from our mentors and from others around us who influence us one way or the other but not to duplicate them .

Some people are a bad photocopy of another photocopy, which we might be trying to copy again . You can imagine how disastrous that copy will be? Do not operate below your God given potential . There is time for everything under the sun; your season of brilliance will come as long as you do what you are called to do, the way you are called to do it .

Do Not Strife To Get The Endorsement Of Any Man, It Will Be Temporal And May Eventually Destroy You.

God’s endorsement is the ultimate . Don’t abandon the raw diamond within you and be at variance with your destiny and the people you ought to be a blessing to .

Absolutely! One of the most interesting stories that I know about is the story of a boy that was born into an already large family . In fact, at the time of his birth, his mum had been barren for a while . In other words, his birth signaled the end of an era of barrenness for his mum because she (his mum) had another boy after him .

Anyway, his father loved him more than he loved his older brothers and that did not sit well with them at all! The ones that were supposed to protect him were the ones that bullied and victimized him . The poor boy! He stood no chance against their wiles because they had already plotted to have him kidnapped so that according to their plan, they would then garner their father’s attention and maybe each get their own coat of many colors! It didn’t help matters that God revealed to him through dreams that He (God) favored him above all others!

That dear child was thrown into a pit! From the pit, he ended up into slavery in Egypt for twenty pieces of coins . However, how many of us know that when we are in God’s plans, no devil in hell can thwart it! Hallelujah! If we didn’t know how the story of Joseph went, we would not understand what his waiting on the Lord benefited him .

Joseph was a boy thrown into the pit, then slavery, then prison, then the THRONE! He became the prime minister and had the opportunity to revenge but chose not to do so . God proved Himself through Joseph .

I believe that it was because of His plans for Joseph that God brought the famine on . Through the famine, his family and Egypt did not perish . God’s ways are indeed past finding . Another profound story is that of Job, who went from high to low and then the Lord restored him back to high!

The lesson from these stories is that when we wait upon the Lord, our reward will be awesome! The Lord will cause our enemies to be at peace with us . The Lord will lay a table before us in the presence of our enemies! The Lord will become the glory and the lifter of our heads! Hallelujah!

How do you not wait upon the God who is one with His Word and His word says “God is not a man that he should lie; neither the son of man that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? Or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?” (Numbers 23:19 KJV) . His word also says “but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength . They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint . (Isaiah 40:31 NIV)

To God be the glory forever and ever . Amen . Shalom

13DEDICATION EDITION

Praying is how we communicate with God, and the Scriptures warn about the possibility of praying amiss (James 4:3) . As such, we need the help of God’s already written Word and His Holy Spirit to experience breakthrough in our prayer lives . The Bible provides us the option to pray in a supernatural language so the Holy Spirit speaks the heart of the Father through us (Romans 8:26-27) . Or we can pray the Word of God in the language of our understanding . One thing we know is that God will not deny Himself and the Scriptures assure us that God is one with His Word (John 1:1) . Jesus died, went to the grave and arose, which resulted in His Name being elevated above other names (Philippians 2:9-11) . Yet, the Scriptures make us understand that God honors His Word even above that Name!

A cogent example of praying the Word to see the will of God done can be found below, based on the following portions of Scripture: Matthew 6:22-25, Matthew 5:13-16, and John 15:1-10 . The Scriptures are presented first, and followed by the linked prayer points .22 “The lamp of the body is the eye . If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light . 23 But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness . If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness! 24 “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other . You cannot serve God and mammon . 25 “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on . Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Matthew 6:22-25 (NKJV)

Prayers:

1 . Father, make my eyes good and my whole body full of light, and not darkness, so that I may shine like the sun .

2 . Father, help me to love You and be devoted in my service of You, not worrying about my life or my body — what I will eat or drink, or what I will wear .

13 “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men . 14 “You are the light of the world . A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden . 15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house . 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven . Matthew 5: 13-16 (NKJV)

Prayers:

3 . Father, Your desire is that I should be salt to the earth and light to the world . Help me not to lose my flavor as salt so I will not be thrown away and trampled underfoot by men .

4 . Holy Spirit of God, help me to be relevant in my generation, starting from my sphere of influence on to my neighborhood, city, county, state, nation, and country of my birth .

5 . Father, give me the grace to stop hiding my light so I no longer shine like the moon, a lesser light than Your desire for me .

6 . Father, help me to shine like the sun that my light may so shine before men that they may see my good deeds and give praise to my Father in heaven .

“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser . 2 Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit . 3 You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you . 4 Abide in Me, and I in you . As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me .

“I am the vine, you are the branches . He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing . 6 If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned . 7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you . 8 By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples . John 15:1-8 (NKJV)

Prayers:

7 . LORD Jesus, help me to love You and to serve You wholeheartedly, holding nothing back . Help me LORD to bear fruit that abides that I may be known as Your disciple .

8 . Helper of the helpless, grant me the grace to abide in You as a fruitful branch on the Vine . Prune me, Father, that I may bear more fruit for Your glory . I do not want to be purged for lack of fruit .

9 . Father, do not let me be cut off the Vine and thrown into the fire as a fruitless branch . Use me for Your glory, eternal Father!

10 . LORD Jesus, without You I can do nothing . Help me to remain in You as a perpetually fruitful branch on the Vine .

11 . Go to the LORD with whatever requests there may be in your heart .

Beloved, desire the Word of God and genuine intimacy with the One Who made you for His glory, and His Spirit will surely guide you into all righteousness . When you get to the place in your spiritual walk where what moves God moves you, and what grieves His heart grieves yours, you are less inclined to ask contrary to His will . If you ask according to His will, you are guaranteed commensurate divine action .

Ringing in the ear healed. Sometime ago, during the service, there was a word of knowledge for someone who had trouble in the left ear . I knew it was me and stepped out in faith . Pastor Cal Lawanson laid his hands on me and put his index fingers in each of my ears . He prayed for me and the Lord healed me . The perpetual ringing I used to hear in my ears ceased . Since I started being faithful and obedient in paying my tithes, the Lord has met my needs including my tuition that was paid in full this semester through a scholarship program . Improved relationship with GodI thank God that I became a member of Wisdom Assembly, a parish of the RCCG . I have been spiritually blessed . Our pastor always encourages us . He listens . He is dependable and prays for us all the time . Attending Wisdom Assembly has helped me to grow faster and deeper in the Lord . I now have a better understanding of the word of God, and what it means to have a relationship with God . I have a deeper love for other people, and complete obedience to the word of God . Healing and restorationI had a vibrant business for 20 years . In the year 2005, I entered into relationship with a strange woman . That decision appeared to be the beginning of downturn in my life and business . I returned to the U .S . in January 2006,

and barely a year after (i .e . in January 2007), I lost everything I ever owned — my business, money, joy etc . My bank account went into the negative and I was constantly sick . I later became a member of Wisdom Assembly . I joined the workers and God told me to be cleaning His house and that by so doing, He would heal me and do miracles in my life . Then I discovered my srecurrent sicknesses had gone . I also went for check-up and the doctor couldn’t find anything wrong with me . Now I feel good, God has restored my health, joy, and peace . He has also given me a thriving business . I give glory to His name . Olukayode

Miraculous healingAt one of our night vigils in Church, Pastor Cal mentioned that the anointing oil that was blessed will cleanse our system of any ailment that had been bothering us . He further mentioned that there was someone present that always felt something crawling in their body . I told the person sitting next to me “that is me” . I normally carry Off Spray with me everywhere I go because I always feel like there are knats all over my body biting me . I spray myself at work, at home but the only place I never had to use the Off Spray is AT CHURCH . [aint that amazing?] I am sitting right here at work today and realized I have not used my spray since the night vigil . Praise God for His wonders . With the anointing oil and prayers, another ailment in my life is healed . Anointing is in this church, please be in one accord with God and claim your blessing that is surplus for the faithful to grab at WISDOM ASSEMBLY . Sis . Tai .

Divine interventionOn my way to work one morning, I had an accident with a motorbike rider . At the spot I thought he was dead, I was later told the bike rider was in a coma for more than a week . Two days after the accident I had a meeting with my bosses and was almost fired . Calls started coming in from the insurance companies

[I had liability coverage] . They were asking for more money to cover medical bills . I told them I didn’t have any more money to give . His lawyers were threatening to sue me . I could not rest nor sleep . Pastor Cal was made aware of all these happenings and he prayed with me and encouraged me . He further told me to pray hard against all these attacks on my life . He gave me prayer points to pray . My loved ones and I joined our faith in prayers . One of the prayers I prayed was that every raging storm against my life must stop and anyone that tampers with my destiny should receive God’s fire of judgment in Jesus name . I put all the reports from the police, insurance companies and the letter from my job in an envelope with the check stubs of my tithe payment and vows and wrote on it “THE LORD’S REPORTS” Mal 3:8-10 and every day I fasted and prayed on them telling God I only believe His reports . As a faithful tither, I was able to ask God to rebuke the devourer of my peace . To God be the glory, two weeks after the meeting with my bosses, my immediate boss who was the one instigating problems for me was let go by the company . The accident victim recovered speedily to the surprise of the doctors and the insurance companies settled themselves . The Lord Almighty has restored my peace . Ized

Divine touchMy sister in -law and her children came from New York to celebrate with us when our daughter turned one . They could not go back to New York on their set day due to a delay . Not knowing that God had a plan for them to partake of HIS anointing . Her Son Joshua had been termed by doctors as special needs [autistic] child and his mother was told that he will never be able to speak . However, in less than a week since they have been visiting and worshiped at Wisdom Assembly, the boy began to not only speak but speak fluently . Glory to God in the highest . Akeem
