ProfileI have been a tradesman for the most part of my working life. Doing Joinery, building heritage and architectural windowsand doors for a very successful company called Saxons Windows and Joinery. The work involved a vast amount ofproblem solving and general common sense, working on and maintaining powerful and dangerous machinery.

During my training as a PCA I also undertook courier driving until I had to start placement.

I have a vast range of skills and knowledge through many different jobs as a teen. Mostly in customer service.

I moved away from this industry due to poor treatment and pay. Also my qualifications as an apprentice were never movedforward. I did not enjoy that particular kind of career or trades in general as it does not suit my personality.

Since doing my placement in aged care I have realized my potential and enjoyment for this career. I wish I had of chosenthis career far earlier in life as I find it very rewarding and suits me better personality wise. I chose the aged care fieldbecause I have a very empathetic and compassionate persona and character as well as being able to have friendshipsand retain them with elderly individuals, I do have a great amount of life experience and feel I have so much to offer to thisindustry.
