Ohrid and Ohrid Lake are both under UNESCO protection: the city for its great cultural and historical heritage, and the lake being the oldest lake in Europe with fantastic biodiversity with over 200 endemic life species. On this walk & cruise tour we will cover the best of both: the most attractive historical sites of Ohrid and the amazing relics of Ohrid Lake.

09:00 Meet your guide at the conference
site where you will board the catamaran
and start your boat transfer by the lake
shore. We’ll sail to the cliffs under St
John Kaneo where we’ll disembark and
continue with guided tour of Ohrid on
foot: the King Samoil medieval city walls,
the ancient Roman theatre, the
cathedral church St Sofia, Plaoshnik, the
manufacturers of old paper and the
pearl producers…

Down by the main dock we’ll sail out and enjoy on board a wine tasting of selected
Macedonian wines paired with traditional plates and sharp Macedonian cheese. Next stop will
be at the Bay of Bones, an authentic reconstruction of the pile-dwelling settlement with
original artefacts dating back between 1200 and700 BC. We’ll also stop on one of the camping
beaches to swim and enjoy the spring sun, and we’ll continue boating to the conference site.
Transfer back to your hotel will be at 16:00h.

09:00 Board the catamaran at the conference site for boat transfer to Ohrid old town
09:30 Continue with guided walking tour of Ohrid old town historical and art attractions
12:30 Board the catamaran for winetasting on the boating tour by the lake shore, with visit of Bay of Bones and Gradishte beach
15:30 Disembark from the catamaran and transfer to your hotel

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
DEPOSIT: An initial deposit of 30% of the trip cost should be payed upon reservation confirmation. FINAL PAYMENT: The balance of the trip cost is due 60 days before the trip start. In case your booking is made less than 60 days before trip start, it will be considered as last minute booking and full trip costs (100%) must be paid at the time of reservation confirmation.CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS:Cancellation charges will be applied as shown bellow calculated from the day written cancellation request is sent and received by Macedonia Travel. The following amounts will be refunded depending on cancellation date:60 days and over= 100% (minus deposit) 59-28 days prior to trip start = 50% of the trip cost 27days or less = no refundIn addition to the charges above, please note that airlines may impose 100% cancellation charges of the air ticket fare, while some of the airport taxes are subject to refund.Cancellation and/or compensation payments do not apply due to “Force Majeure”. Force majeure is war, threat of war, riot, civil strife, industrial dispute, terrorist activity, natural or nuclear disaster, disease, fire or adverse weather conditions, changes imposed by airlines, or other similar events beyond the control of Macedonia Travel.
Macedonia Travel is entitled to cancel services up to 60 days in advance prior to trip start date if:- Minimum number of full paying participants is not met ( a full refund of trip cost including deposit

INSURANCE:Macedonia Travel do not provide travel or health insurance, therefore we require all our clients to carry their own health, accident and liability insurance. Please check that there are no exclusions clauses limiting the types of activities included in your trip. While Macedonia Travel will take all necessary actions in case of emergency situation, we cannot assume responsibility for medical and/or evacuation costs during or after your trip.
