Serial numbers Serial numbers consist of 2 to 3 designators.consist of 2 to 3 designators.•The first designator is called the prefix. The prefix signifies what model of a system you have.

•The second designator is called theSuffix and always contains6 Digits. This tells us whenthe unit was made.

Date Codes and Batch Date Codes and Batch NumbersNumbers

On most consumables, torch bodies, and PC boards we incorporate a 3 digit code. This code helps us determinethe age and revision of the part.

Date codes consist of 3 digits. Date codes consist of 3 digits. The first 2 digits represents the week number and the thirddigit represents the year in which the product was made.
