The security and protection of Data Centre racks is extremely important and should not be open to a breach of security. With Traka’s key management solutions, you can ensure that sensitive keys can only be accessed by authorised users and a full au-dit trail of exactly who has which key, when it was taken and when it was returned is maintained with-in the system, ensuring accountability and respon-sibility of individual users. Traka provides intelligent solutions to protect and secure data centres. When entering the data centre, individuals’ belongings must be secured and locked away so that they aren’t in possession of any phones, cameras or other items while in the server area. Traka Personnel lockers are the ideal solution as they provide a temporary deposit, secure solution that integrates with existing access control credentials.

Individuals will then enter the secure area between the reception and data hall. Using the access card/Fob, they will then gain access to the key cabinet and remove a predefined key that they have been given authorisation to take and gain access to the relevant server rack. Once the key has been removed, they can then enter the data hall.

When leaving the data hall, the individual must return the rack key to the Traka cabinet. Failure to do this will prohibit them from leaving the data centre This application is called Asset Return Assurance, which means unless your rack keys have been returned back to the cabinet, the individual users’ access control cards are blocked in the system to prohibit them from exiting the area.

1. Deposit possessions (wallet, phone, keys etc.) into the Traka personnel locker.

2. Collect access control card to access air lock and data racks.

3. Before entering the Data Hall, collect key from Traka key cabinet to gain entry to the data server racks.

4. Personnel cannot leave the air lock until the key is returned to the cabinet.
