Who gives a crap goal 50k raised $66k Raised most in first 24 hrs. Simon Griffiths ceo really clever video in which he pledged to say on the toilet until the 50k raised. Point here is that Crap was a social enterprise planned to give 50% of its profits to building toilets/water sanitation in developing countries. They had won biz plan competitions and spent 2 years perfecting product/logistics, etc. Now they wanted $50k to do their first production run

George Takai- Startrek- Sulu- He actually spent years as a child at two Japanese intern camps in the US. On 1942, President Roosevelt authorized the removal and relocation of all Japanese Americans from the West Coast. Thousands of families, like George Takei's, were forced from their homes and sent, sometimes hundreds of miles away, to live in barricaded camps behind walls of barbed wire. This often "overlooked" injustice forever changed the lives of over 120,000 people.

George wanted to raise awareness for this chapter in our history. The campaign itself helped shine a light on this. Goal of his campaign to fund a musical called Allegiance is an epic story of love, war and heroism set during the Japanese American internment. Set out to raise 50k and raised 158k
