In the sixties, under the guidance of Edoardo and Adele’s five daughters and in stylistic alliance with the visionary Karl Lagerfeld, a template was set: the staid idea of fur as a status symbol kept being turned upside down while also the bags were transformed, leather printed, woven, dyed and tanned to make them new. Lasting impressionsThe main lobby is monumental yet evanescent. Gilt metal blades suspended from the ceiling recreate an architecture of columns and arches that is both immaterial and tangible. They define a central court, enhanced by a jasmine pool, and insure privacy to the residents’ circulations and lounges. The surrounding ambiances are dressed up in blue lapis lazuli, hinting both at Fendi’s precious use of color as well as to the Arabic tradition. A Corteccia marble vein is used for the floors.

Haute couture homeFluidity defines the structure of the apartments. Traditional right angles give way to sinuous lines that adapt the vaults’ concept.
