Compliance with the Rules of the Society, HSE Guidelines, Codes of Practice and Guidance Notes is required.

In addition: 1. Exhibitors must use the segregated areas for livestock movement, loading and unloading where provided and when

andwearingcorrectprotectiveequipment.2. Alloperatingmachinerymustbeproperlyguardedandexhibited inaccordancewithHSESIM1/2001/04.Theuseof

pedestriancontrolledgrass-cuttingequipment ispermittedstrictlywithintheareaof yourstand.Theuseof anyotherequipmentmustbeauthorisedbytheSociety’sSafetyOfficerpriortouse.Thetowingof vehiclesorequipmentbyanymeansotherthanafixedandrigiddrawbarmustalsobepre-authorisedandsupervisedbyatleastonepersonotherthanthedriverof thevehicle.

3. Theuseof ATVs,motorcyclesorothersimilarvehiclesisprohibitedunlessauthorisedbytheSafetyOfficer.If authorityisgranted,thecorrectprotectiveequipmentandheadgearmustbeworn.

4. InrelationtoLPG,compliancewithGuidanceCS4andCof P7isrequired.Onlyquantitiesof LPGsufficientforuseontheShowDaymustbebroughtontothefield.

5. Chemicalsandsubstanceswhichmaybehazardousmustbedisplayedonlybymeansof emptyandcleancontainers.6. Exhibitorsmustprovideadequatefireextinquishingappliancessuitablefortheirstandandactivities.7. Allportablegeneratorsmustbeprotectedbya2mearthingrodorintegralearthingdeviceandalsoaResidualCurrent

Devicesetatnomorethan30MAsensitivity.AllconnectionsshouldcomplywithIEEwiringregulations,trailingcablesshouldbeburiedorcoveredusingcableprotectorsandsocketsmustbeglanded.

8. Theuseof inflatableplayequipmentisonlyallowedwithpriorpermissionandfullcompliancewithHSEInformationSheet7.Caremustbetakentofullysecureinflatablesagainstbadweather.

9. Theuseorkeepingof livestockonTradeStandsisnotpermittedunlesspriorconsentisobtainedfromtheSociety.Intheeventof permissionbeinggranted,fullcompliancewithrulesandregulationsrelatingtoLivestockExhibitorsisrequired(acopywillbeprovideduponrequest)alongwithfullcompliancewithappropriateregulationsissuedbyDEFRAcurrentatthetimeof theshow.

10. AllliftingworkmustbecarriedoutinaccordancewithLOLER.11 TheSocietyreservestherighttoinspectExhibitor’sstandsandanymachineryorequipmentbroughtontotheshowfield

atanytime.

Note relating to Risk AssessmentsWerequireallTradeExhibitorstosubmitacopyof theirownRiskAssessmentinadvanceof theShowotherwiseentrytothefieldwillnotbeallowed.TheassessmentmustcoveralltheactivitiesbeingcarriedoutontheExhibitor’sstandforthefulldurationof theirpresenceonthefield,i.e.toincludesettingupanddismantlingaswellasShowDayactivity.If thisisnotpossibleyoumustsignandreturnacopyaGenericRiskAssessmentwhichhasbeenpreparedbytheSociety.Pleasenotethatif youusethisdocumentitisentirelyyourresponsibilitytoensureitisadequateforyourneedsandcoversallyouractivities.TheSocietywillnotacceptanyresponsibilityforerrors,omissionsorinaccuracieswithintheassessment.
