    BAB I

    PENDAHULUAN

    1.1 Latar Belakang Penelitian

    Keberadaan manusia sebagai sumber daya manusia adalah penting dalam

    organisasi karena sumber daya manusia menunjang organisasi melalui karya, bakat,

    kreativitas, dorongan, dan peran nyata seperti dapat dilihat dalam setiap organisasi

    (Masharyono & Senen, 2015:121). Peranan sumber daya manusia yang ada pada

    sebuah organisasi semakin penting seiring dengan semakin kompleksnya tugas,

    tanggung jawab, dan tantangan yang dihadapi organisasi saat ini (Masharyono,

    2015:813). Sumber daya manusia tersebut perlu dikelola secara profesional agar

    terwujud keseimbangan antara kebutuhan pegawai dalam tuntutan dan kemampuan

    organisasi perusahaan (Anwar Prabu Mangkunegara, 2004:1). Pengelolaan sumber

    daya manusia yang baik akan menghasilkan sumber daya manusia yang berkualitas,

    ditandai dengan adanya kinerja yang baik dalam setiap diri karyawan (Senen &

    Masharyono, 2015: 121). Sumber daya manusia merupakan faktor dinamis yang

    mampu menentukan maju atau mundurnya organisasi, sehingga lembaga yang

    memiliki sumber daya manusia yang handal akan memenangkan persaingan

    (Masharyono & Senen, 2015:121).
