We were the first in the industry to offer a BioCote® anti-microbialcoating as standard on all of our steel products, including our range ofcupboards. BioCote® is the only product of its type to be proven infield tests to reduce the levels of bacteria on storage equipment by 95%,helping to reduce the risks of bacterial cross-contamination from MRSA,e-coli and other similar bacteria.

BioCote® is effective against a wide range of bacteria and fungi.

This silver ion-based technology reduces levels of bacteria by99% in just two hours and provides continuos built-in anti-microbial protection for the expected lifetime of the product.
All BioCote® protected products are subject to regularquality control testing (ISO 22196) by an independent UKlaboratory, supported by in situ product testing in real-lifeenvironments.

As well as laboratory testing, BioCote Ltd is the only antimicrobial technologyprovider to have carried out environmental trials investigating the effectivenessof BioCote® protected products in real life environments, including a hospital,care home and food production plant.
In 2007 BioCote Ltd carried out a pilot trial in association with the Heart ofEngland NHS Foundation Trust. Two out-patient wards within the Trust wererefurbished; one with furniture and equipment with BioCote® antimicrobialprotection and the other with standard, untreated items. The aim of the trialwas to compare the levels of bacteria on BioCote® protected products,including blinds, storage systems, tiles, lockers and light switches, tostandard untreated items.
Results showed that using BioCote® protected products can lead to a reductionin bacterial levels of up to 95.8%. Products coated with BioCote® powdercoating, such as Link Lockers and Link 51 storage systems, saw a 94% reductionin bacteria on their surface. By reducing levels of bacteria, BioCote® protectedproducts can help create cleaner and more hygienic environments.

Cupboards meet the stringent requirements ofBS EN 14073:2004 (Parts 1, 2 & 3) and BS EN14074:2004. Cupboards feature:

Where valuable and potentiallyvulnerable materials or equipment areused in the workplace, the need forstorage equipment with enhancedsecurity becomes a necessity. Securitycupboards benefit from an additionalhasp and staple fitting for use with apadlock (not supplied) as well as thestandard 3 point locking.
