If you are thinking to visit Cuba and are looking for an effective way to reduce costs or you are a tour
operator trying to contact accommodation service suppliers to avoid intermediaries then this is the
right book for you. Here you will find a list of 100 homestays (Casas Particulares) in the main tourist
destinations of Cuba, shown in the simplest way possible for you to check the details of each offer
in a very fast way.
The information you will find in this book has been provided
by the landlords, including their prices. If you are a person
looking for a business opportunity you should consider that
there is not commission included in the rates you see here.
However, many landlords are flexible with their offers and are
always available to negotiate with you. Even if you appear
unexpectedly knocking on the door asking for available
rooms, in some cases you still have chance to get better
prices. Anyway you should pay attention to the text that
describes each house presented in this book; you will note it
was written by the owners themselves and that’s the space
where they expose their conditions and talk about the rates
they have for additional services. It’s also important for you to
know that the digital version of this book is updated regularly
and those conditions can change. When the landlords make
changes in their houses or modify their services they send
the new information and this ebook is immediately updated.
A commission of $5.00 CUC (≈ $5.50 USD) per room per
night is normally given to the person or the company that
sends the costumers. Since there is not official contract
for this commercial activity it must be agreed by word,
but normally the landlords respect those agreements and
keep the commissions zealously. Despite these Casas
Particulares are known for being economical options, there
are also big, luxury houses with pools, many rooms and
employees working to guarantee the best service. In places
like these normally there is a price for the entire house per
night instead of charging for each room separately; in this
case the commission can vary from 10% to 15%.
Many homeowners will always confirm you a
reservation even though they don’t have rooms
available for the dates you are asking for; unfortunately that happens frequently. You can be in contact with them by email or even by phone with enough time in advance, but the day you arrive it’s a possibility that someone else already occupied the room they promised to keep for you. The main reason why some landlords act like that is because many people make reservations but never show up just because a taxi driver few minutes before suggested them a better place with better prices trying to earn his commission. Landlords have to pay taxes, it doesn’t matter if they have customers or not, customers need the best offer and taxi drivers have to pay their bills too, so every position is understandable.
The best way to avoid a false response if you are looking for accommodation is making a payment in advance, at least the equivalent of the first night. As long as you deal with official Casas Particulares there is no reason to be worried for making a payment in advance. The main challenge is to find an effective way to make them get the payment; some landlords have relatives with bank accounts outside Cuba, but most of them don’t have that advantage, so the only one way to pay them is in cash personally.
Anyway you still have the option to book through a travel agency to avoid discomforts; it’s up to you.
Every legal Casa Particular has to show this logo on the front.
If you are in Cuba and are looking for accommodation you can just knock on the door, they will be happy to have you as a guest if they have rooms available.

Bullo. Our philosophy is that we welcome our guests as members of our family. Our guest accommodation is in an annex of the main house, so guests benefit from being part of our family, but retain privacy and quiet, as well as a veranda at the front of the house. Our comfortable small bungalow has air conditioned, a bathroom with a shower and a sink with warm hot water, and a bedroom with 2 queen size beds. Relax in our fantastic chill out garden to see the little humming birds (Zunzun), try to get the sweetness out of the banana trees. We will cook delicious breakfasts, lunch and dinner, on request. Our house is located very near the centre of Vinales where you can enjoy live music almost every night. We are pleased to help you with arranging tours around the area such as walking tours, horseback riding, green trails, visiting caves, biking, or enjoying the amazing virgin beaches of Cayo Jutias, Cayo Levisa ... whatever you want! If you come with Viazul bus, we will pick you up and after a short nice walk you will be sipping your welcome drink at the terrace of Villa Cristal ... your home away from home in Viñales!

And we should not forget about the National Park in Cape San Antonio, where you will find an exuberant nature, with more than 20 km of virgin beaches, water eyes, headlands, nice fauna and endemic plants. For those who prefer fishing and boat walks, we have Villa Laguna Grande, 20 minutes away. Besides, we have other beaches such as: the Frances beach, Hubero Quemado beach Bailén Beach, Boca de Galafre, Cortés and others. We offer dining services, standing out a wide variety of dishes, national and international cuisine typical of the town. Such as an excellent and exquisite Fish to Santa Barbara (recommendation of the house), like the Bacán (only you can taste in this town) and Calalú among others.

refrigeration and each with its own bathroom. In addition, we have a third level terrace with sea view and a panoramic view of downtown.
With a rich and varied cuisine, which includes exotic dishes of traditional cuisine Baracoa, such as Pescado a la Santa Barbara, Santa Barbara Shrimp, Okra, Bacon, etc. In addition, a great deal of the world famous Cuban cocktails, Mojito, Daiquiri, Cuba Libre, etc.

The casa is centrally located within walking distance to the cultural and commercial centers and only 500 meters from the Cathedral and Casa de la Trova. Although centrally located, the casa sits
in a small side street offering a tranquil atmosphere away from any city noise. The owners are both professors; Rafael a Geography professor and wife Adis an English and Computer Technology professor. Rafael, Adis and staff take pride in making every minute of your stay a memorable and warm experience. We offer two totally independent and spacious rooms. Both rooms have two beds each with extra space to accommodate more than two guests each. We offer total privacy since both rooms are located on the second floor. The rooms have balcony/terrace with rocking chairs, flower garden and healing plants. From the third floor terrace you will enjoy 360°views of the ocean, the mountains, as well as views of the city’s roof tops. While relaxing on the terrace, you will enjoy the fresh breeze and the view of the ocean and the mountains; at night you can enjoy having a drink while gazing at the beautiful stars display. Each room offers its own private full bathroom with hot water 24 hours a day. Linens and towels are changed daily unless you order otherwise. There is a library with book exchange in different languages. Each room is equipped with air conditioning. We offer various other services like laundry services, bicycle rentals, schedule tours, salsa dance classes, Spanish classes, and Cuban cuisine classes (our specialties are fish in coconut milk and other local dishes). Adis is an expert in preparing local and traditional foods.
