When students join CSVPA, quite often they have already decided which university they want to progress onto. This is usually based on university rankings, reputation, location or image of the
university rather than the best university for their specialist area. There are so many different ar t and design degree courses available it is not as simple as looking at an ar t and design rankings
league table.
At CSVPA we make sure our students make the right choices when making their university applications. The suppor t network we provide and the oppor tunities we give them to identify
the right university and degree course to apply to, helps to give them the best star t in their career in the creative industries.
DESIGN YOUR FUTURE
Every year we take students to UCAS Design Your Future. This event gives students the unique oppor tunity to talk to representatives from over 100 creative ar ts universities and colleges to help them prepare for applying to university.
UNIVERSITY VISITS
Over the course of the year, universities visit CSVPA to give students more information about the courses they offer and what it is like to be a student there. We also organise visits to universities so students can experience first-hand what it would be like to be a student there.
DEDICATED PREPARATION FOR APPLYING TO UNIVERSITY OF THE ARTS LONDON
Going forward CSVPA will be working closely with the UAL Par tnership and Liaison team to better prepare our students for their applications to UAL and the interview process students go through when applying to them. Students will be provided with pre-application suppor t activities including:• Guidance on higher education, living in London, finances • Courses available at UAL, how to prepare your application and por tfolio• Por tfolio advisory sessions to give feedback on the individual student por tfolio before submitting them to UAL.
DEDICATED UCAS OFFICER
Our students benefit from a dedicated University Application Officer who will sit down, one-on-one with students and help them understand the UCAS process
and feel more confident about filling in their forms.
EXPERIENCED LECTURERS
Many of our lecturers are all experienced designers bringing a wealth of industry knowledge, giving advice
on the best universities for their subject area.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE SUPPORT
Improving your English skills is an essential par t of your stay at CSVPA. Getting the right IELTS score for university entry is cruicial and helping you achieve this is a fundamental par t of what we do. We not only help prepare you for your IELTS exams, we are able to provide bespoke suppor t with the written elements of your
coursework as well as developing presentation skills, writing personal statements and interview preparation.
