We established the Medical care centre on 19.06.2015 in our own premises .

We have a Medical Director with 33 years of General / family practice &

ophthalmology experience.

Group of volunteers working at the reception & registration.

Lab Assistant to help us in the mini lab

Our aim is to provide FREE quality medical care to 150,000/- people living in

Kallikkuppam and nearby villages in close proximity to the centre and also 101

residents of Anandam Old age home which was established in 2003.

The per capita income of average family is only about Rs 6500 to 10,000 (100-

150 $ ) / month and they find it difficult to meet both ends.

The strata of population living in this area are predominantly labour class

families having school & college going children.

We also cater to the 34 children undergoing guru Kul learning at a Vedapada

shala.

We have already provided 6800 people FREE medical care since June 2015.

Anandam Old age Home

A Free Home for senior citizens (a public

charitable Trust)Regn No 585/95

Anandam old age home provides free shelter, food and care to elders.

The residents have no children and no source of income.

There are 101 residents 73 female & 28 male members

All residents are in the age group 60- 90

We offer Free tuition classes & evening snacks to 150 students

from the nearby village after school hours to improve their

performances in the school. We also sponsor their fees up to Rs

5000/- per child / annum.

Anandam Medical care Training centre

We started the Geriatric care Domestic aid training centre on the 15th August

2015 in our premises.

The aim is to empower unemployed / school drop outs of the nearby village

Free training is provided to the trainees for 100 hours on theory and

practical aspects .

24 people have successfully completed the training .

They are being placed with an MNC company offering trained man power.

Need for Ultra sound in the Medical centre

Most of the out patients come to the cash free poly clinic with symptoms of

Kidney stone / Gall bladder stones probably due to high calcium content in

the water.

The female patients who visit the clinic suffer from Breast swelling &Uterine

/ menstrual disorders and infertility.

28 elderly male inmates require periodic monitoring of prostate hypertrophy.

Around 300 patients / month requires some scanning to investigate and treat

them.

60% of the Out Patients suffer from high Blood sugar / high Blood Pressure

/Lipid disorders & Anaemia which require a Lab for investigation purpose to

offer correct treatment to them.

40% of inmates are Diabetic /high cholesterol/ high Blood pressure and some

cardiac patients who require regular monitoring of various parameters

periodically.

Presently we send samples to the nearby Laboratories for investigation which

takes time & expenditure.

We propose to set up a Lab / Ultra sound scanning centre to enable us to

provide quality medical care to the needy.

Regular supply of Medicines

We need regular supplies of Medicines for 101 residents of Anandam old age

home.

We get an average of 2000 poor patients visit our Medical Centre every

month where we give FREE medicines to treat common cold, fever, pain

management, Diabetes, Hyper tension, Heart ailments, Deficiency in vitamin,

Psychosomatic disorders.

Any supply of Medicines regularly under your CSR initiative will be a great

boon to us.
