Course Description This 5 day course provides information on in-depth specifications, operations, and troubleshooting of Hitachi In-System Heterogeneous Replication and Hitachi TrueCopy Heterogeneous Remote Replication. In-System Replication software includes Hitachi ShadowImage, Hitachi Copy-on-Write (CoW) Snapshot, and Hitachi Thin Image.
Emphasis is placed on managing replications with Command Control Interface (CCI) software. Additional material covers Hitachi High Availability Manager, data transport methods, planning and implementing data protection configurations, basic Three Data Center configurations, and Hitachi Replication Manager features.
The classroom sessions are supported by lab exercises. You will practice using Hitachi Storage Navigator and RAID Manager CCI, and RAIDCOM commands to build several In-System and Remote Replication configurations.

Course Objectives Upon completion of the course, the learner should be able to:
Describe key features and internal operations of Hitachi ShadowImage In-System Replication
Use Hitachi Storage Navigator and Command Control Interface (CCI) for ShadowImage pair operations
Describe the key features and internal operations of Hitachi Copy-on-Write and Hitachi Thin Image
Configure Copy-on-Write and Thin Image pools and virtual volume groups
Use CCI for Copy-on-Write and Thin Image snapshot pair operations
Install Hitachi NAS Platform 64-bit VSS Provider software
Describe the key features and operations of Hitachi TrueCopy Remote Replication
Configure and operate a TrueCopy replication using Storage Navigator
Create CCI configuration files and perform TrueCopy operations using CCI commands, including combined TrueCopy and ShadowImage Consistency Group operations (At-Time)
Use RAIDCOM configuration setting commands to make changes to replication configurations.
Describe Hitachi High Availability Manager concepts and operations
Configure and operate TrueCopy and Hitachi Universal Replicator in Three Data Center (3DC) environments
Describe data protection concepts and practices
Discuss data transport methods and supported topologies for replication links
Describe Hitachi Replication Manager interface and operations
