the Kornati Islands out of tears, stars and breath" - wrote George Bernard Shaw.

Beautiful nature, a network of countless islands and islets the magnificent sea - all

this makes the Kornati Islands a true promised land for all nature lovers. The islands

are also a priceless pleasure to all those who love bathing in the crystal-clear sea,

and those who appreciate peace and quietness.

Because of its exceptional landscape beauty, diversity of the coastline and

The island is famous for its quality stone used to build many famous palaces like

This special geographical location comprises fertile fields in the island's interior and

a large number of various fish in the surrounding sea.

The locals are into agriculture, fishing and tourism. The coasts of the island are

sloped and separated. To the west of the island is the Komiza bay and to the north

is the Vis harbor.

In 1944 the island was declared a military zone, therefore it was inaccessible to all

foreigners until 1989. But this isolation, however dicult it was for the inhabitants of

the island of Vis, placed Vis among the favourite destinations of the entire

Mediterranean.

You have the opportunity to make a motor bike day tour to the military bunkers.
