Who: Boys and Girls -‐ Ages 9-‐11 & Ages 12-‐14
What: A summer creative writing workshop that blends creativity, writing, and fun! Students will become more independent and more confident writers in this workshop. Students will have the freedom to write a variety of creative writing genres, including short stories, personal narratives & poetry. They will develop their own styles, will take ownership of their writing, and will discover how much fun writing can be! July 18 -‐ 21 Morning Session 9 A.M. to 12 noon Afternoon Session 12:15P.M. – 3:15 P.M. Where: Wellesley College Club @ 727 Washington Street (Rte. 16), Wellesley. Cost: Student writer's notebook with curriculum creative writing materials included in fee, as well as supplemental enrichment materials. $390 per session. Teacher: Sue McCarthy enjoys working with young writers of all ages to stretch their creative minds. A teacher in Wellesley, she has a background that ranges from elementary to middle to high school. She has an English major from Amherst College as well as a Master’s degree from Wesleyan University with a concentration in poetry and creative writing.
