Attenuation Tank Case Study
Requirements: Willow Pumps/PDAS required an interim measure to be installed during a construction phase the company is working on to prevent surface water from fl ooding the site.

Design target
To install a cost-effective solution that would guarantee peace of mind that no fl ooding would take place during the wet months of the construction phase. The solution needed to accommodate a large volume of water, with careful consideration taken to get a tank of that scale - with a deep invert - onsite with minimal disruption.
Solution
1803 Attenuation Tank – 4.0m diameter x 15.0m long.
Any Other Information
Although the robust solution provided was a temporary measure, it can indeed be adopted as a permanent solution which in the long run will be more cost effective for Willow Pumps. The Attenuation Tank was installed in line with the client’s timescales and they are extremely pleased with the solution that PTA has provided.
