Dear Parents

Greetings from Cradle to Crayons!

A plethora of engagements across all the grades kept our young dreamers active through the month of August.

The month of August basked in the glory of Festivals like Rakshabandhan, Janamashtmi, Independence Day. The spirit of Independence day reverberated in the school with singing of Patriotic songs and with our very own little ones dressing up in tricolor or as freedom fighters.

Also kudos to our learners for participating in various Inter school competitions and winning prizes.

It is a delight to watch our young learners blossoming.

ALL ABOUT THE THEME: TRANSPORTWith the help of the theme board and smart board children were introduced to different modes of transport. Reiteration of theme was done with fun sheets, hand puppets and observing vehicles in the school parking.

Children learnt rhymes and songs related to the theme and enjoyed story sessions.

Learning: Our young learners are growing- up, they can talk about their basic needs and express their likes/dislikes. They all have started removing their shoes outside the class before they enter. They take out their almanacs and hand over to class teacher. The children as soon as enter the school wish everyone around them.

ALL ABOUT THE THEME: Rainy Season “Learning is fun and excitement”.We are glad to share that our little ones said bye to hot blazing summers and welcomed the monsoons.They learnt about ‘Rainy season’ through experiential learning. Our children geared up to see the gray clouds, feel the rain drops and sing the music of the monsoon in their own happy way. Of course how can we forget “Insects” who went marching along with them and made the journey of learning a great experience.The children learnt through drama, storytelling, nature walk, magic box and through games.

ALL ABOUT THE THEME: PLANTS and TRANSPORTQCT – The theme Plants was discussed in quality circle time and continued for half of the month wherein children learnt about the types of plants grown on plains, mountains, rainforest and desert and recap of the theme was done.New theme TRANSPORT began in the mid of the month.

Our children learnt about the Land transport in this month. Where they learnt about slow and fast-moving transports, Public and private transport. Different kind of trains. Discussion about marshalling yard. Advantages of metro.

Quenching their thirst for knowledge our Kindergarten learnt about the Life cycle of Mosquito, Frog, Hen, Butterfly and Duck. To make children aware of their life span and what all do they eat.Discussion on Life cycle of Human, their different stages of growth.Discussion on Food chain and importance of healthy diet. Fun facts of Moth and Butterfly.

Rakshabandhan : 07th August 2017The story of Rakshabandhan was shared with kids & the Rakhis were made.

Independence Day : 15th August 2017All our little munchkins dressed up as the freedom fighters like ( Bhagat singh, Jhansi ki Rani , Subash Chandra Bose , Chacha Nehru) and presented themselves on the stage with full zeal. All the teachers dressed in tricolor traditional dresses and the spirit of Independence Day were elated by candies.

Inter school competitions held at Premiere School Exhibition and Shalom hills international school Children participated in Inter school competitions with full of zeal and zest. Children bagged prizes in different activities like Coloring, Mask making, Show and Tell, Yoga and Ram walk.
