What is a SNAP?
• An action plan for environmental improvement and urban renewal in an existing urban neighbourhood
• Directs projects and overcomes barriers

County Court SNAP
~Creating a sense of community~
County Court Bio-Filter Swales
• Construction of two bio-filter swales, approximately 150m in length, located along County Court Boulevard road right of ways (3m wide)
• Project being paid for by contingency of Road Resurfacing budget
• Function of the swales is to collect storm water run off from County Court blvd through curb cuts, and allow water to be absorbed into the planted swales
• Construction to commence in Summer 2014
• Community planting in late Summer 2014
County Court Coffee Nights
•Monthly meetings at the local Tim Horton’s
•Free coffee for those that attend
•Opportunity to continue engaging the residents, and to update them on current and future programs and initiatives
•Various topics, i.e.
– Emerald Ash Borer
•Assist with any resident led initiatives

• Dillon Consulting Ltd selected as Phase 2 and 3 consultants • Currently:
– Data collection and Technical analysis
– Draft Phase 2 synthesis, Concept mapping, Finer scale concept plans
• CBSM pilot– Active transportation program with local schools
• Community Engagement– Tree planting, workshops
