Our Vision
“Our vision is that by 2030, Edinburgh 's transport system will be one of the greenest, healthiest and most accessible in northern Europe .”
Setting the scene
• First in Scotland with:
– 35% of trips made on foot
– 7.3% of trips to work by bike
• Cycling has quadrupled since mid 1990s
• Target is 15% of all journeys to work by bike by 2020.
