About UsLeeds Doors & Cubicles (LDC)LDC was founded in 2009 to build on the parent company’s vision of growing a small door-selling business into a market-leading distributor of fire doors and accessories to the construction industry.

As part of the MBP group, we are one of the UK’s largest independent stockists of fire doors and accessories, carrying stock from leading suppliers including Premdor, Vicaima, Deanta and Jeld-Wen. We are also a leading manufacturer of bespoke fire doors, doorsets and glazed panel screens.

LDC’s company values are firmly rooted in strong customer service and our dedicated team of industry experts are on hand to offer customers a full-scale, responsive fire door service.

ManufacturingOur manufacturing capabilities give us additional flexibility within our supply chain. We have invested in state-of-the-art CNC machinery in our joinery facilities, and can supply doors with virtually any bespoke variation required.

The MBP group is third party accredited under two schemes: BWF-Certifire Fire Door Scheme and BM Trada Q-Mark Certification Scheme. Over the years, we have invested heavily in our own fire and acoustic test evidence, having completed over 250 separate acoustic tests alone. We are also a licensed member of the flagship police preferred specification scheme for physical security, Secured by Design.

Millennium Door Systems (MDS) Millennium Door Systems is our bespoke facility that manufactures non-standard, purpose-made flush fire doors. Certified as a Prime Door Manufacturer, MDS can supply doors with any finish, including special veneers and high pressure laminates, and can also accommodate unusual glass apertures.

UK Doorsets (UKD)UK Doorsets is our specialised doorset manufacturer aimed at architects, specifiers and large house builders. UK Doorsets supplies both standard and bespoke doors that are complete with ironmongery cut-outs, and pre-hung in frames ready for installation.

DistributionWe are committed to supplying our customers quickly, and on a ‘right first time’ basis. Our facilities are strategically located throughout the UK - in Manchester, Leeds, Colchester, Derbyshire and Cwmbran in Wales - and are all centrally supported by our headquarters in West Bromwich, in the heart of the country.

Our stockholding exceeds £1.5M groupwide. Combined with our vast distribution network, this large stock holding allows us to serve the market with shorter lead times and sets us apart from other fire door and doorset manufacturers.

Third Party CertificationA fire door is a vital safety device, engineered to save lives and property. Regular testing and assessment of fire doors and components is essential to ensure products will perform in the event of a fire. Third party certification is an important process for independently and impartially assessing fire door systems against a defined set of standards. Once products are tested and passed, the manufacturer is issued with a certificate to demonstrate that the product meets those requirements.

As a participating member of two key third party certification programmes, LDC operates a strict audit of manufacturing control and supply systems. We regularly test our doors and doorsets to ensure they meet all appropriate building regulations and are fit for purpose.

The BWF-Certifire Fire Door and Doorset Scheme was established by the fire door manufacturing industry and aims to promote the importance of using third party certificated fire doors and components as a critical part of any passive fire plan.

The Scheme offers clear and simple methods of tracing a fire door and its components throughout the entire fire door chain.

Q-Mark product certification from Exova BM TRADA is regarded as one of the most rigorous certification processes available for construction products. It is recognised by controlling authorities and home warranty providers such as the National House Building Council, and is used by world-class construction companies and manufacturers.

THE ENVIRONMENT

LDC supply doors, door frames and doorsets under the FSC and PEFC Chain of Custody certification, offering assurance that an independent, audited route to market is followed.

Annotation of certification is included on all associated documentation, from order to dispatch, guaranteeing the timber we use is from appropriate sources.

LDC believes that conservation of our environment is paramount. As a responsible manufacturer, our policy is to reduce waste by maximising raw material usage throughout our manufacturing processes.

We also use timber substitutes (such as MDF) wherever possible, without reducing the performance or appearance of our products.
