“Why suffer needlessly,” asks Dr Eugene Hurwitz of Center for Allergy & Asthma of West Georgia. “If you are experi-encing a runny nose, watery eyes, sneezing, coughing, itchy eyes and nose, and dark circles under the eyes, or simply not feeling like your self, you may be sufferring from fall allergies. We offer the latest advance-ments in medical and computer technology for maximum comfort and convenience when diagnosing and treating allergies and respiratory ailments.”

“The goal of asthma and allergy treatment is to allow children and adults to lead a normal life generally symptom FREE!”

Dr Hurwitz is joined in the practice

with allergy and immunology specialists Dr. Randy Stollof, Dr Lily Hwang, and Dr Errin Gardner as well as a professional and dedicated staff. Offices are located in the West Georgia area, including Carrollton, Villa Rica, Bremen, Hiram, and Newnan. “Not only do we have multiple locations so you don’t to drive a great distance, we will see you on the same or next day if needed. We simply don’t want you to suffer need-lessly or be inconvenienced. We know that early treatment of allergies is important so our patients illnesses are not prolonged” Dr Hurwitz continues.”

“Dr Stoloff, an experienced Allergist who lives in Carrollton and I, along with the staff, work closely together so you receive the uniform and professional care you deserve no matter which of us sees you.”

“Many try to suffer through allergy season, like now with ragweed. We all know how miserable it is with sneezing, coughing, wheezing, itchy eyes and sinus problems.

“But sometimes we don’t take into ac-count the long-term effects such as fatigue, impacting productivity at work or perfor-

mance at school, affecting behavior and daily activities and your relationship with your spouse and family due to feeling miserable or not getting necessary sleep.”

“It impacts your overall quality of life and that can be changed very quickly with allergy treatment,” Dr Stoloff continues. “Please don’t assume that because you haven’t found the relief you need in the past that you must live with your aller-gies. There have been many advances in the diagnosis and treatment of allergies, asthma, and other pulmonary disorders over the past 10 years. Many have heard of allergy shots, which are actually a series of vaccinations used to build up immunity to those things you are allergic to. Con-trary to what you may have heard, skin testing is a relatively quick and painless procedure in children and adults and used to determine allergic reactions.

Our approach includes developing

an individualized plan for every patient to allow the greatest improvement, both short term as well as developing a long term plan.

We start with an allergy evaluation and then we develop the plan for treat-ment and relief. But it alls starts with you calling our Allergy Relief Call Center today where you won’t have to wait for an appointment or relief!”

In addition the Center for Allergy and Asthma has a professional and caring staff that works with patients one-on-one to educate them on their condition and help them recognize environmental triggers that

Patsy continues, “Many who call us ask about and worry whether they can still use their family doctor and the answer is always, “Absolutely!” Also in most instances your private health insur-ance plans, Medicare, and Medicaid covers Hospice Care.”

“We at Altus provide customized compassionate care just for you and your lifestyle. You have the freedom to choose which hospice care company you want. BREMEN FAMILY HEALTH & WELLNESS CENTER

Shouldn’t YOU have CHOICES In Your HEALTHCARE? YOU DO!!!

“A professional in any field will admit there are limitations to their profession,” begins Dr Ralph Templeton, D.C. is CEO and founder of Bremen Family Health & Wellness Center. “In my chosen profes-sion of Chiropractic we can effectively help people with a large variety of health concerns. However, a couple of years ago I was experiencing a health concern of my own which neither conventional family medicine or chiropractic adjustments could diagnose or cure. So, I called a professional colleague of mine at that time, Naturopathic Doctor, Jay Wilkins, who accurately identified and advised me on a natural very inexpensive remedy that could solve my concern…and within a short period of time my problem was solved. Likewise I attended a seminar where I met family physician Dr. Anthony Human and learned we shared similar philosphies of healthcare and how combining different methodologies such as traditional medi-cine, naturopathic remedies, and chiro-practic might truly benefit patients. So the three of us sat down and agreed that we could put aside our professional egos and jointly work for the benefit of each patient we saw.”

Dr. Anthony Human, a Naturopathic Doctor-Jay Wilkins, a Chiropractor with over 24 years experience- Dr Ralph

Templeton-- Call today 770-537-5555 so you can exclaim: Goodbye Pain, Hello Life.

“I had pains so bad I was taken to the emer-gency room and was diagnosed with Acid Reflux. I was prescribed heavy duty medication that had side effects. I even lost weight because I couldn’t eat. After reading the Bremen Family Health and Wellness article in Community Connection about Acid reflux, I decided it was worth a try. Within a short period of time I saw a dramatic difference and now I am off all medications for acid reflux and through Dr Templeton’s work even my back feels better. Now I even have him treating my knees. Now I am back enjoying life again!” Mary Holcombe

“Let’s be honest, you might feel more comfortable with the profession- al opinion from your favored healthcare prospec-tive, but if you truly want to be advised of the options that lay before you, you have precious few if none at all true second opinions. We don’t force you to see a doctor disci-plined in a

philosophy....but you have that option when you want it. Let’s face it, most of us just want better health naturally and to feel better without having to rely on expensive and often dangerous treatments to get there and for those patients sharing our collective methodologies on healthcare our group might be just what the doctor ordered,” Dr Templetion explains with a smile.

“I had a slipped disc in my lower back. Just to stand up straight in the morning I had to use

a massage chair first. I simply was not going to have

surgery. Finally my husband convinced me to call Bremen Family Health and Wellness this past May. Within the

first few visits I had the

relief I was

ing…and without surgery or drugs. After about a month, Dr Templeton gently suggested that my quality of life would improve if I would lose some weight. He suggested the Cornerstone nutrtion plan at his practice. The plan is based on making lifestyle changes, not a quick fix diet plan. I have lost 17 pounds already! I have no back pain and with the weight loss, I am back taking walks with my husband. I go back now just once a month for both my back and weight loss class. Taking my husband’s advice and calling Bremen Family Health and Wellness was the best thing I’ve ever done! It’s is just unbelievable!” Gwen Castlin

Let me start out by thanking the very kind people that have already helped Joey, by sending kinds words, drinks, money and prayers. Joey and his Mother Kathy truly thank you for the bottom of their heart!

But Joey is still in need of many things they can not afford and insurance will not pay! I know it is very hard times for all of us and you are watching every penny, but if you know of a person that they can get in touch with that might help this all they ask.

I personally want to take you for reading his story as I know it has touched your heart as it has mine. I want to leave a little information for maybe someone that has not yet read his story. Again I want to thank each and everyone for taking time and sending your love his way!

Joey Feltner who has a rare neurological form of muscular dystrophy called “FRIEDREICH’S ATAXIA which at-tacks 1 in 50,000 people. In JOEYS case he is 100% bed-bound, has attacked his speech (although some days its pretty good), and he can no longer write. It has completely destroyed his nervous system, heart, and hearing ---remember there is no cure! Since Joeys last hospital stay his decline is massive; he was able to transfer but with great difficulty and breathe for short periods on his own. Now all that is changed, he is on oxygen 24/7 a day–believe me there is nothing like seeing a person gasping for breathe or chocking on their favorite food .I have had the honor to meet JOEY –a delightful and caring young man. He has a SMILE and EYES that would melt your heart.

He now has cardiomyopathy-last stage congestive heart failure and (SUDDEN CARDIAC DEATH SYNDROME) Many like Joey need 24 hour care with special equipment, sky high medications, and special diets. Perhaps you would like to send a note of encouragement—send in care of Community Connection Magazine -P.O.

Box 665 Carrollton Ga 30112. Joey has many needs including a bed sore mattress (has had many severe in past few months) assistance with overwhelming medical costs and needs. We have set up a bank account for Joey at BB&T offices in Carrollton and Bowdon in a benefit account for Joey Feltner in his mother’s name Kathy Bray. Faith Smith is a native Carroll Coun-

tian. She is also a book reviewer and a published

romance author.

SOUTHERN GIRL GOES NORTH!PART 2Okay, we left off last time

on Thursday night. Amanda had just arrived in Columbus, and it was great to have her with me. Also on Thursday, I was standing in an elevator and I had a woman look at my name tag, and she started jumping up and down, yelling, “Kensington’s Soul, Kensing-ton’s Soul, I read your book.” That was a rush in a really big way. Her name was Maryln, and she came to Club RT on Friday and had pictures made with me and hunky cover model, Mark Johnson. It was awesome!

After doing my stint at Club RT, I had a meeting with an editor from Grand Central Publishing. She loved the idea of the book I pitched, and told me to go home and finish writing it. I was over the moon on this one—believe me. I also had lunch with Lil, my good friend, and then we both got ready for the Book Expo. This is a major deal where all the epublished authors sign their post cards, talk to fans, etc.

That night, it was Heather Graham and Helen Roseburg’s Vampire Ball. The food was great, the corset way too tight, but it was fun city! The next day was Saturday, and if you can imagine a ballroom filled with three-hundred authors or more, along with fans, and the camaraderie and chaos that caused, then you have a view of what it was like at the Print book fair. I loved sighing my books! Afterwards I had a drink with an author friend, went to a tea with yes real tea and finger sandwiches, ducked into the SOS for the last of the Salute to Military Spouses, and then headed for the Mr. Romance contest. The winner was a sweetheart, a good Chris-tian guy, and just an overall boy next door. I danced some

at the Dorchester party and then the next day my darling daughter Amanda and I hit the wet roads. It took fourteen hours to get home, most of it we were in steady downpour and I’ve never been so happy to see the Carroll County line!

New Review for “Dunbar’s Curse.”

Faith V. Smith has given us a fabulous vampire love story that will have you want-ing your very own vamp boy! Miles and Hope are two great people that the reader will care for and relate to. You will feel the raw emotions that both of them go through leap right off the pages and into your heart! They are a couple that will have you rooting for them to find the happiness and love at last!

“Dunbar’s Curse” is a great book that will enthrall the reader right from the start! This is one blazing book that has enough heat to start a forest fire! Even though “Dunbar’s Curse” is the 2nd book in the Bound by Blood, The Legends series by Faith V. Smith, it is a stand alone book. I am looking forward to reading the 1st book in the se-ries “Kensington’s Soul” which is out now and hoping for a third soon!
