Message From The Qaid

Dear Khuddam and Atfal

Assalamo Alaikum,

It’s been a while since the last publication of the newsletter, but once again we’ve managed to print another edition. I hope and pray that you will find it interesting.

The newsletter is something we can all get involved in one way or another. We really need your feedback as to how we can improve the newsletter and we are also always looking for content ideas. If you have any topics you wish to see included, whether religious, advice on studies, the latest electronic gadget you have heard about or even a short story that was an interesting read. If you wish to contribute in any way, you can send your articles, stories, pictures and riddles and other interesting material to [email protected] and we will try our best to include it in the next newsletter.

We will also be printing a short dua with translation in each edition and ask that you could spend a few minutes memorising it.

I hope and pray that you will be able to give us constructive feedback so we can continue to improve.

Jazakallah and Inshallah speak to you soon.

Tahir Ahmad, Qaid Majlis Milton Keynes.

Moral Story

The Travellers And The Plane Tree

Two men were walking along one summer day. Soon it

became too hot to go any further and, seeing a large

plane tree nearby, they threw themselves on the

ground to rest in its shade.

Gazing up into the branches one man said to the other:

“What a useless tree this is. It does not have fruit or

nuts that we can eat and we cannot even use its

wood for anything.”

“Don’t be so ungrateful,” rustled the tree in reply.

“I am being extremely useful to you at this very

moment, shielding you from the hot sun.

And you call me a good-for-nothing!”

All of God’s creations have a good purpose.

Islam teaches us that we should never

belittle Allah’s blessings.
